Ian Wright is widely regarded as one of the greatest footballers in the land. So, the fact that he owns one of the greatest football sneakers in history shouldn't come as that much of a shocker. It's an Adidas Samba. Which everyone knows and loves and has bought for the last four summers. But you've probably never seen an Adidas Samba like this.

At GQ Heroes 2024, our annual summit that brings together some of the most influential voices from across culture, fashion, business, and politics, the former pro footballer talked about everything from Jude Bellingham and the Euros to gender equality in football. He wore a big fit shirt with four giant pockets across the front, a pair of matching trousers, and a Panerai Luminor Marina (which is also known as a true grail watch).

But even though the wrist game was strong, the Ronnie Fieg x Clarks x Adidas Samba took the spotlight. Why? Well, most collabs are the result of two big names taking on one shoe. But for this particular pair, the Kith founder somehow managed to get both Clarks and Adidas to work together, combining the former's classic crepe rubber sole with the latter's hyped silhouette.

Unsurprisingly, this three-way sneaker sold out within seconds of dropping. But what made Wrighty's pair even better was that it was the even more limited ‘Kithmas’ edition, which dropped as part of the streetwear label's special Christmas collection. He's just showing off now.

Great guy, great Samba, great fit. Ian Wright, thank you.
