Ben and Ashley are ready to recap the premiere episode of Jenn Tran’s season of The Bachelorette and they don’t hold anything back!

Ashley makes an observation about how long this rose ceremony might have been, and you won’t believe the reason why.

We make our early predictions of who Jenn will send home, and who will go all the way to the final rose, but we have to talk about one of the contestants who turned a first impression into a full moon.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
with iHeartRadio.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Holy Cow.

Speaker 1 (00:07):
New season of the Bachelorette has started. We are kicking
it off, we are making things happen, we are breaking
it all down. Today It's Almost Famous podcast. We're back
in season with Jim season of the Bachelorette.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
Ashley is still here. I'm here, not shockingly.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
I don't know. I'm shocked. Every day I'm like, today's
the deck, No get ahead. It's more like tomorrow is
the day, is how I've been saying it.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
I'm just I'm glad tomorrow's the day because I want
to have you here, especially for this first episode. It's
tough to kick off a really exciting new season of
the Bachelrette without you. I don't know how I would
do it. But let's dive into it now. Yeah, it's
season twenty one of the Bachelorette. Here's something crazy. Do
you know that Jared and myself were on the thirteenth

(00:57):
season of the Bachelorette and I was the twentieth bachelor.

Speaker 3 (01:00):
Bachelor. I'll never forget that you were the twentieth bachelor.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
They should have made a bigger deal out of that.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
Keep going in our Bachelor seasons. There have been then
Bachelorette seasons. I can't believe they took that much of
a break in the two thousands from the Bachelorette anyway, Ben,
you know what jumped out as me as like being
the most like what's going on here moment? At least
at the beginning of the episode. What's that was, why
weren't they at the Bachelor Mansion? Right?

Speaker 2 (01:27):
It's a good question.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
Till the end then we found out why they were
not at the Bachelor Mansion.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
I still don't know why they're not. I mean, even
if they're leaving after one date there, I don't know
why they still wouldn't have gone to the mansion.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
My guess is that Marshall, the owner of the Bachelor Mansion,
probably didn't want to completely evacuate his home and have
them make it look like the Bachelor Mansion inside for
just one night. And I'm assuming that this house that
they used, which is also the house that they used
for what's that show called Listen to Your Heart, I

(02:01):
think that's probably just like a rental property, like that's
where they shoot things at, so they didn't they could
get it for one night and make it over.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
It was beautiful.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
It's you know, the mansion is iconic, and seeing people
walk through those front doors and take in a right
you know, always is exciting for me because I understand
and I've seen and I've been there before. But I
don't think this episode or this season is going to
miss the mansion.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
It feels like.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
I was just scared that we had gotten rid of
it forever and I was like, wait a second, I've
never going to be able to, you know, go back
there and be like.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
This show your kids.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
Yeah, it must always stay the same.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
Now going forward, well, we do have an episode to
speak about to talk about. I hope everybody listening has watched.
If they haven't, here's some just some ideas that have
happened in the past on the almost in this podcast,
we won't know all the names of these guys yet,
so I just want to let you know that there's

(02:57):
going to be some descriptors to categorize who we're talking about,
so you're gonna have to kind of piece that together. Also,
you know, Ashley and myself have never said that Night
One is our favorite episode. It's never been our favorite episode.
And I think for me, Ashley, I haven't heard your
thoughts yet. I would still hold that after the Night

(03:19):
one this season, it's not a marker of how good
or bad the season is gonna be.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
No, it never is very telling.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
It's just it's just the same thing over again.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
But we did get introduced to some of these guys, Ashley,
let's talk about some of our favorites and then some
of the people that might concern us after a period
of time.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
So who are some of your favorites?

Speaker 3 (03:39):
Okay, so favorites. I don't have a ton. I'm gonna
be honest, don't have a ton. I understand her attraction
to Sam, the general contractor, who looks to me exactly
like Woan Pablo meets Sean Booth. He has definitely there's

(03:59):
an old to him. He's sexy. I worry about him,
and you even see in the scenes to the next
you know, the season that he might be a little
bit of a troublemaker, he might have a bit of
an ego on him. But I acknowledge that you know,
he as the first Rose recipient, the first impression Rose recipient,

(04:23):
definitely has I think the most chemistry with her. She
finds him most appealing Right now, what I loved is
that she didn't kiss anyone until after she met everyone. Now,
I mean, did she have one on one sessions with everyone?
I guess we can't be certain. We don't have any
guys complaining in the house that they didn't have a

(04:45):
moment with her, so I'm going to go ahead and
say that she probably had a little time with everyone.
I think that this episode, or like the time it
took to film this episode, perhaps was longer than any
other for episode because it got it got light light

(05:05):
outside so early, it got light outside by the time
that she gave out her first impression rose. Normally we
see the sun rising in the background of the rose ceremony,
but here the roads what the first rose wasn't even
given out, and the sun was straight up out And

(05:27):
it gave me the willies because by the time she
had that moment with Sam, the guys hadn't even lined
up for the rose ceremony, which in my head means
there was at least two hours more until the rose
ceremony was done at that point.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
I like that this is what you're focused on now,
Like you know, most people are saying, yeah, that's crazy,
it gets light out, but Now as you get older
and I get older, the amount of time that each
contestant has asked to stay awake is now focus of
all of our attentions.

Speaker 3 (06:02):
How red are their eyes? How bad is their breath?
Are they hungry? Like? Are their eyes just like just
so dry?

Speaker 2 (06:10):
Yeah, it's it's it's.

Speaker 3 (06:13):
Aughaking out at you making out? So you were making
out at like six thirty am.

Speaker 1 (06:19):
Well, that's why these contestants go on to win all
these other competition shows, because they've been through the grind.

Speaker 3 (06:26):
I'm sorry. Your question to me was who stood out?
And here I am talking about the sun.

Speaker 2 (06:34):
Yeah, you didn't really answer the question why.

Speaker 3 (06:36):
Sam obviously stood out is what I'm saying. I didn't
feel immense chemistry with a lot of other guys, but
I do have things to say about other guys. But Ben,
please your feedback.

Speaker 2 (06:48):
Bring this back around.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
I think Sam is definitely somebody we'd have to speak about.

Speaker 4 (06:53):
Now.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
Was he my favorite?

Speaker 4 (06:54):
Uh?

Speaker 3 (06:55):
No?

Speaker 1 (06:55):
Do I think he got the first impression Rose because
he he is gonna have a target on his back
and he's not going to respond well to it. Yes,
I do. I really liked Marcus. I think Marcus came
in very first person out of the limo. He was humble,
he was kind, he has a great story. I do
think he's one to watch now. I don't know anything

(07:16):
about these guys character at this point. There's not one
guy I could say hey after night one on this season,
they made me concerned or they made me excited. I
think everybody is kind of showing their best face. You
give it time, you give it some pressure, then we'll
see who these guys really are. But I think Marcus
really stood out to me. I also think Noah's brother
is one to look out for. I think he seems

(07:37):
very sweet. I think he also has the advantage of
having Noah, who has probably told him about how this
process works, who to look out for, who to stay
away from, and the things to say not to say,
which is interesting because we do see a clip of
I think his name's Aaron, Aaron being the guy that
says not everybody here is here for the right reasons,

(07:59):
which is never a good thing for any contestant to do,
to be the person that says fat m But I
actually one of my questions for you is, honestly, when
it comes to the first impression, Rose can remember a
season as of late, where the first impression Rose Getter

(08:23):
ends up being there at the.

Speaker 3 (08:26):
End, it's been a while.

Speaker 1 (08:30):
I think my point is, I think the trend is
that the first impression Rose receiver has as of late,
reacted really poorly to getting the first impression Rose. In fact,
they've had the target on their back and they haven't
joked with themselves, they haven't handled it well. In fact,
they got a little too big an ego. Their confidence

(08:52):
kind of gets big, and they annoy the rest of
the house, and then over time they end up becoming
contentious with the rest of the house. I think this
is gonna happen with Sam. Now we've gone through some
of the people that sit out to us. You said Sam,
I said Marcus. Obviously, Aaron's there.

Speaker 3 (09:06):
I agree with you with Marcus for sure. When she
was sitting down with Marcus at the cocktail party, I
was like, Oh, this could be him, this could be
the first impression for us Getter, and then even with
Aaron a little bit too.

Speaker 1 (09:17):
Yeah, I think there is definitely some standouts. Again, though,
I think this night one stands out and separates itself
to me, because there isn't that person that everybody's gonna
be like, Oh my gosh, this guy's it.

Speaker 4 (09:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:41):
Now let's just go generalities here. Who, Ashley, do you
want to talk about? Who kind of just go off
on your tangent. Now, who is memorable to you for
who they are?

Speaker 2 (09:51):
What they did?

Speaker 3 (09:53):
Okay, this is shocking. What was his name? I have
this written down. Jonathan the guy with the head wrap,
the patient who came out of the limo with his
butt showing. My sister and I were so grossed out.
We're like, oh, no, girl wants to see a bare
ass as a first impression. And then like the whole

(10:17):
gimmick of the head wrap. I'm like. And then he
unwrapped his rap and I was like, wait, he's cute.
Like I was like, I'm like, most attracted to him
out of anybody else, really, Yeah, And so interestingly, I
think that he might have a future. So that was

(10:40):
interest That was interesting to me. Sam m the love
Virgin made a big deal about never having a girlfriend
before he's twenty five. I hadn't had a boyfriend at
twenty five, so I'm not gonna I do no fault
him for that. I was weirded out by the fact
that he came that his package included him curling his

(11:04):
eyelashes with a lash curler, so that that's interesting.

Speaker 2 (11:11):
Why is that interesting?

Speaker 3 (11:15):
I've never seen a guy prepare himself for a night
with an eyelash curler.

Speaker 2 (11:21):
I told you.

Speaker 1 (11:22):
One of the only things I do aesthetically to my
face ever, especially on the show.

Speaker 2 (11:27):
No, well, I do that. I guess if that counts.

Speaker 1 (11:31):
I have one of I got a eyelash comb one
of those little things, and I comb out my eyelash.

Speaker 3 (11:37):
That's fun because it feels nice.

Speaker 2 (11:38):
And it feels really good, I must say. But I
just say it feels good. How many dudes do you
see do that? Not a lot? Is it a weird thing?
Could you say it's a weird thing.

Speaker 1 (11:48):
If you want to curl those eyelashes, because you've got
long enough eyelashes to curl, go for it, dude.

Speaker 3 (11:55):
Okay, all right, I'm not yeah again, A little bit
of maybe a beige flag, a base flag, Okay, based flag.
I Dylan, the twenty four year old medical student, stands
out to me as a good potential. I liked him
and it's just his bio, and I am eager to

(12:18):
see more of him. But right now he's kind of
like the strong, silent type.

Speaker 2 (12:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (12:22):
I think he'll get far though. And then the other
things worth mentioning, I think were it was the disgusting
moment between the real estate developer who from New York,
who just cringes me out. Does he think that, like
his travel and his money is impressive.

Speaker 2 (12:46):
Here's just a note here to pause you.

Speaker 3 (12:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (12:50):
Anybody that wants to brag about how much money they have, yeah,
should just creep you out in general, and typically they
ain't telling the truth.

Speaker 3 (12:59):
Yeah, Oh he was, like, I shipped my Maserati or
whatever the heck that was Ferrari all the way from
New York. Oh, yes, that car they shipped it for you.

Speaker 1 (13:11):
Yeah, and that's the dumbest thing you could ever do.
You won't need a car now for the next three months.
Why is what you're already gonna do with your Maserati
sitting in Los Angeles? Hopefully that was a cool two
minute drive. It doesn't make any sense. It's not rational.
You don't want to be and marry somebody who's going
to be making weird decisions like this. This doesn't speak husband,
it speaks child.

Speaker 3 (13:32):
Yes, And then to make matters worse, Brian, the aesthetics
guy with the completely frozen forehead, comes and like tries
to interrupt the Ferrari moment, and it's just disgusting. I
can't these guys only got through for the sake of TV,
because come on, now, there's no way she was attracted

(13:53):
to anything between the two of them.

Speaker 2 (13:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (13:56):
I do really like the med school student. I think
that the strong silence hype definitely somebody you know, there
is some guys here that even in just their intro packages,
you could tell they were very excited to potentially find
love and not just be on television. And I think
you saw that in some of their actions. Even at
the mansion, there were some quiet people around, which is great.

(14:19):
I think those are the people that are going to
stand out in the end switching gears, because we have
gone through some of the standouts now in terms of
the contestants a little bit. To go back to our
breakdown episode where we broke down each of these guys,
I do think, as usual, the guys who were a
lot more handsome than we saw in the pictures that

(14:40):
were taken and posted online. This is a good looking
group of guys. There's definitely some people I think as
we get to know them better, will become even more
handsome and you know, attractive to us all. But I
do think I was a little nervous after looking at
all the pictures. I was like, this be rough and

(15:01):
it wasn't. It was not rough at all. They put
a suit on. Well, there's definitely some studs. Now, let's
talk about Jen. We still did not get to know
a lot about Jen even on this episode. She is
our bachelorette and one of the things that we were
not concerned about, but what we wanted desired was to
learn more about Jen because we did not get to

(15:22):
see a ton of Gin on Joey's season of the Bachelor,
And honestly, I felt like we didn't get to know
a lot about Jen even after this episode. We got
to hear a little bit about her family dynamics and
what she wanted and desired for life and kind of
her schooling. I will say I want to know more

(15:42):
about Jen for one reason and one reason only. I
think I really like Jin. I thought she handled Night
one with her responses, her ability to listen, her ability
to make fun, to laugh, to kind of ease the
nervousness of all these guys better than any that we've
seen in recent history. I thought she was amazing on

(16:04):
night one, so I want to I just want to
know more about her.

Speaker 2 (16:08):
I hope we get to.

Speaker 3 (16:10):
Well, you know how we talk about when they go
on one on ones, they usually just learn about the
new contestant and not the bachelor, not the lead. I
do hope that they have they show the conversation in
full so that we can get to know both of
them at the same time. I also want to go
back to what I was saying earlier about the fact

(16:30):
that she decided not to kiss anyone until she decided
who her first impression Rose was. I just thought that
was refreshing because I feel like every night one we
keep getting more and more kisses, and it's like, Okay,
how much do you you really feel the urge to
kiss this person after a five minute conversation. So I'm

(16:52):
just really glad that she reserved it for her first impression,
Rose Getter, and that she went through like everyone and
then she was like, I've been thinking about you like
I keep thinking about you. So I just felt like
there was a lot of meaning to it.

Speaker 1 (17:06):
Yeah, I mean I do. Sometimes that's just luck too
that it works out that way. I don't know if
any lead that I've talked to when we, you know,
are having drinks and just talking about the experience, says, oh, yeah,
I went in the nine one just ready to make
out with everybody. I don't think that's ever actually a
desire or something that anybody believes will be the healthiest
for the long term relationships of all of these people.

(17:28):
But sometimes it just happens, right Like sometimes you're just
in a position, you're small talking and then all of
a sudden, there's a kiss and it happens on night one.
I think with Jen one of the reasons I would
say that there wasn't as much kissing or there really
wasn't any until the first impression or is get her

(17:49):
was because she's a good conversationalist. Like the conversations continued,
they never stopped.

Speaker 2 (17:56):
I think she's engaging.

Speaker 1 (17:57):
I think these guys were nervous and she kept them
kind of asking good questions. She was asking good questions back,
and when the conversation is flowing, there's no need to
stop and have to make out, which you know what.
For the first couple of dates, I know you and
I are like, this is awesome. We won't have to
watch Jin make out with everybody. What we do get
to do is see Jin connect with people and we
get to learn about the contestants. That makes a better season.

(18:19):
So that's my prediction now for the rest of the
season is that we're actually going to get to know
some of these guys, because we've had leads who are
so bad at talking and so bad at asking questions
that we've only seen them kiss people.

Speaker 3 (18:34):
Yeah, I know, I know. All right, Well, Ben, is
there anything else, Like I have a couple more random thoughts.

Speaker 1 (18:41):
Yeah, Before we jump into random thoughts, I want to
talk to you about now your overall idea that they
won't be at a mansion, that they're going to be
traveling right away internationally with this massive group of people.

Speaker 2 (18:53):
Are you excited for this? You know? Are you nervous
about it?

Speaker 1 (19:00):
I'll say my opinion is the mansion always seems to
bring out drama. I'm nervous that traveling internationally might cause
less drama than what we've seen in the mansion. Because
the mansion, you live on top of each other, you're
in bunk beds with each other, you're sharing a bathroom,
with each other. You're waking up around each other, You're

(19:21):
around each other all the time, in very close proximity,
and you're just sick of being in the heat of
la sitting outside while somebody else is on a date,
you know, twirling your thumbs. I am nervous that that drama,
kind of the anxiousness to continue on will be less

(19:42):
because they're traveling internationally.

Speaker 3 (19:46):
I don't know if I agree with that. I do
agree with like being in the house. It's closer quarters.
You are in a bedroom with like twelve people versus three.
But I also so feel like you're on these long
flights and you're going through time changes, and you're probably
crankier and like more out of your element. So that

(20:09):
could also bring up some bad feelings. Yeah, so I
don't know. I don't have a problem with them going
right off the bat traveling. I don't think it's going
to make a whole different vibe. But I hope it
doesn't feel like and it shouldn't. I shouldn't. I was
gonna say, hope it doesn't feel like the quarantine seasons,

(20:30):
where like we never had a place if familiar. Well, yeah,
I don't know. I don't I don't have any strong
opinions on this, okay, but Ben yours what's interesting?

Speaker 2 (20:42):
Consider it.

Speaker 1 (20:53):
We're gonna transition now into Ashley's general thoughts on this episode,
everything that's just been swirling in your head after watching it,
after feeling it, Ashley, take it away.

Speaker 3 (21:03):
Okay, So disappointed that the heavy set guy, the teddy bear, we.

Speaker 2 (21:08):
Never got to know him. He was such a good character.

Speaker 3 (21:10):
I liked him. His personality went along with what I
thought he would be like based on his bio, and
I'm bummed. I also, you remember the Devin Okay, so Devin,
the one that she said it reminds her of Pete Davidson,
who owns like a freight company in Texas and was
brought up by a single mom. He's the one that

(21:33):
likes to poison himself with whatever he's allergic to. Remember,
I don't know about my feeling they have something. He's
definitely a big personality. He makes me nervous though. He
makes me feel like there's something there might be some
darkness there.

Speaker 2 (21:52):
Yeah, there's something off.

Speaker 3 (21:53):
Okay, thank you you feel.

Speaker 1 (21:55):
I definitely feel it, and I think they tried to
communicate that touch show us that during this episode. I
don't know, Ashley, if how it will play out, right,
I don't. I don't know what the story will up being,
but yes, I think you are. My attention was attuned

(22:16):
to him and what his decision making will be like
now for the rest of the season.

Speaker 2 (22:20):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (22:21):
And then finally Marcus who, oh no, not Marcus Love.
Marcus Grant the basketball player. Yeah, we were so right
on about him during our profile breakdown. He was a
professional basketball player and then he turned into a financier
and you said interested like the final like, how what

(22:46):
extent of finance are you doing? Is this just something
that you say to make you seem fancy? And the
guy just seems to really like to look fancy. He
had an he's a basketball player, but he has play
vibes all over him. Extremely good looking. But he's the

(23:07):
kind of guy that will just kind of like say anything.
He could come up with a line out of his
butt and make it sound smooth and suave and seductive.
It just seems like everything's like a seduction line, right,
And I'm worried that she might be seduced by his
overall being. But I don't think that there's a lot

(23:29):
of substance right there, right now.

Speaker 2 (23:32):
I think him and Sam very much are similar in that.

Speaker 3 (23:35):
Yeah Sam, Sam general contractor Sam.

Speaker 2 (23:38):
Or No, who's got the first impression?

Speaker 4 (23:40):
Rows?

Speaker 2 (23:40):
What was his name? Oh?

Speaker 3 (23:41):
Sam m is the first impression get her? Sam En
is the love virgin.

Speaker 1 (23:49):
I think those the first impression Rows, Getter, and Grant
remind me very similarly to each other, based in just
how they what they say, and how they have handled
Night one. I'm always a little hesitant because both those
dudes seemed a little too confident Night one or egotisticle?

Speaker 3 (24:12):
Which one is it? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (24:13):
Yeah, are you confident?

Speaker 1 (24:14):
Or is your ego so big that you just could
never admit that this is actually an environment that you
should feel very uncomfortable in, that this is something very weird.
H And that's what you know, that's where my hesitancy comes,
because where does that confidence come from? But you know what,
in the past, we've had this similar feeling that we
just said about Sam and Grant, and these guys or

(24:36):
these women end up sharing their story and then we
get to know them in a whole new light, through
a whole new lens, and we're like, we really like
them now that has happened, and I'm open to that.
I just think as of right now, my guard's up. Yeah,
my guard's up for jin.

Speaker 3 (24:52):
Yeah. See, my guard's up with a lot of the
guys except for Bill and the doctor Dylan medical student,
I trust you, and John m he's also a medical
student a year older, just a little bit more on
the down low. We'll see.

Speaker 2 (25:06):
What's the age ranges of these men, Ashley.

Speaker 3 (25:10):
I think it's probably twenty four to mid thirties.

Speaker 2 (25:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (25:16):
Well, I mean that's a pretty good range like that.
In Jen's howel she is twenty six. Yeah, so we're
right there. I mean, this is all it could be anybody,
you know, there's nobody too young or too old. Really,
twenty four is young, I get that, but that's also
twenty four I think is Dylan right, the men's student, he.

Speaker 3 (25:34):
Seems very mature for his age. He was talking about
wanting to be a doctor at the age of twelve
and like sharing to shadow doctors at that age because
of his grandmother's breast cancer. That was very sweet.

Speaker 2 (25:46):
It's very sweet.

Speaker 1 (25:49):
I am excited for us this season, Ashley. I do
think there's some great things upon us. And to close
out this episode, of episode one of gen season of
The Bachelorette. Let's talk about now now the kind of
preview for the rest of the season. Anything stand out
to you there that makes you excited and nervous or
just memorable.

Speaker 3 (26:09):
Oh yeah, Ben, I don't think she's ending up with anyone.

Speaker 2 (26:12):
Not same, I would say the same thing.

Speaker 3 (26:13):
I'm like pretty certain in that, like to the point
where I might just like keep saying it and just
stand by my thought the entire season. Because when I
interviewed her, which you guys, the interview comes out today,
you can listen to it. She didn't seem giddy over anyone,
you know how usually I can get somebody to sound
giddy over someone. She didn't have that she didn't even

(26:33):
have like the whole I'm happy thing. Well, maybe she
was like I feel good or like, you know, she
like feels like good about her decision making, but she
didn't make it seem like she was happy in love
and watching this. My only concerned about just being so
firm on saying that she doesn't end up with anyone

(26:56):
is because I think that that's what they're trying to
make it seem like having her put down the rows
and yeah, pick it up and put it down and
lah lah lah.

Speaker 1 (27:04):
My feeling is that something happens in the course of
the season that will make us very angry at a
few of these guys, and that Jen is going to
get the raw into the deal here and she's not
going to end up with anybody, and she's actually going
to end up hurt like she's not. I don't think
she's deciding not to end up with anybody because she's
just not interested. I think she ends up with nobody

(27:26):
because she ends up getting hurt. And that's going to
be very controversial. It is going to be extremely polarizing.
It's also going to be very unfortunate. But this is
my this is my theory. I've been wrong before, I've
been wrong recently. I could be wrong now, but I

(27:46):
would I'm in your camp, Ashley. I think you and
I here at the almost famous podcast, we'll say with
confidence we do not believe Jen ends up with anyone.

Speaker 3 (27:55):
And I think it will be the first time that
she doesn't like a lead, doesn't end up with somebody
for the reason that it's going to be you know
what I mean, Like we've seen Brad. What I guess
Brad was just like I don't really feel it enough
with you or like that. Those people will be like
I just kind of want to date you. I feel like, yeah,
you're right, there will be it'll be new, the ending

(28:18):
will be unprecedented. Speaking of a guy comes back from
her past who has not put on the show before.
This is not like a Nick situation. This is somebody
who's just random in her life, past boyfriend or something,
and he wants to join the cast. Do you think

(28:39):
he ends up joining the cast? No?

Speaker 1 (28:41):
I think this is way overplayed. I think this wouldn't
have been a very small storyline that makes less sense.
I think he's probably just like a hanger on her
who shows up and she asks the group and the
group's like, no, that's stupid, and she's like, I agree,
this guy doesn't stand a chance, and he gets out
of there. I don't think he joins the cast.

Speaker 4 (28:57):
Well.

Speaker 1 (28:58):
And I say that because she's very clear in episode
one that she's never had strong feelings for anybody in
her past.

Speaker 3 (29:05):
Right, so she sent her three boyfriends. Doesn't so much
she's hanging on to anyone. She keeps saying that, like,
the guys in my past are in my past for
a reason, like sure, I've learned from them and I
do not want to be with them, so.

Speaker 1 (29:17):
I'd have no I would think that there'd be nobody
that would pop in that she'd be like, oh but
I forgot about you.

Speaker 3 (29:23):
You knus it could be somebody who you know, things
didn't go all the way with, you know, she didn't
get into a relationship with them, but like there was
always a crush there.

Speaker 2 (29:34):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (29:35):
I don't know if I'm believing it, Okay, I think
I don't think this is a big storyline. I think
that it comes and goes and it's a great teaser.
But I do think the teaser that sticks is that
in the end, Jin's really hurt and we're all going
to be really mad about it, and we're going to say,
what about that love story? And I won't have to
wait till Jones season to hopefully find one, and we're

(29:56):
all going to be really upset because we liked gin
And and we like her with somebody but rock and
roll Gin She's gonna be great. She's She's already on
Night one showing signs to be captivating, to be funny,
to be quick witted, and to be very flirtatious, which

(30:17):
is obviously a very good thing for a lead. When
they it feels like she has forty dudes. At this point,
it's crazy, who goes to Australia.

Speaker 2 (30:26):
Ashley.

Speaker 1 (30:28):
For the rest of the season, we'll be here at
the Almost Famous Podcast, at least one of us will
be every week.

Speaker 3 (30:34):
Now.

Speaker 1 (30:34):
I think we should just sign off by saying, Ashley,
I don't know if this is the week, but if
it is, I wish you the best.

Speaker 2 (30:39):
If it's not, we'll see you next week.

Speaker 1 (30:42):
