Speaker 1 (00:01):
This is Sex Lies and Spray Tans with Me, Cheryl
Burke and iHeartRadio podcast. Hey guys, today I'm joined by
a new face, but one that I'm so excited to
have on the show. She is the executive editor of
TV and Events for People Magazine. My guest co hosts
joined People in April twenty eighteen after two years as
senior editor at Entertainment Weekly. Prior to that, she held

(00:23):
editorial positions at Yahoo Entertainment, MTV E, and The New
York Daily News. You may know her from frequently appearing
as an entertainment expert on programs such as Good Morning America,
Access Hollywood, and numerous other podcasts. So we're excited to
have her with us today. Everyone please give a warm
welcome too, Brian Heldman to the podcast. Welcome to Sex

(00:47):
Life and Spray Tans. I always feel weird doing this episode,
like this part of the series and podcast, because like
sometimes I am in the headlines and it's like what
am I going to do? Talk about myself? So I'm
gonna just if you have any questions or you want
to know what is going on here because People Magazine
or People dot Com wrote about this and I'm like, wait,

(01:09):
was news slow? Or like no, here was fun? But
people like you? But I okay, wait, hold on, I
have a okay, so we're talking, go ahead, just take over.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
You're fun. People like you and people at People Magazine
like you. So that's why it's news, and that is
why we can't go. We can't talk about any other
headlines until we talk about your amazing fortieth birthday party
because I'm so fascinated by Touria yacht, by the party,

(01:40):
and then and then all of the shopping you did
on Amazon. It's the realness and the glam together are
just just a magical combination. I do think. Actually that's
why people love you, Cheryl.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
It's so ridiculous, Like okay, well I want to know.
First of all, I'll go, I'll take a step by step,
but where we got there? Did you know? I was
joking about the whole front's situation, Like when I was like, okay,
so whoever wrote this also knew? Right, Like I'm not okay, Yeah,
I was like, oh, feel sorry because like the amount

(02:15):
of text messages I got from certain people from my party,
I was like, okay, first of all, I had a
small group of us and every single person knows me
in some sort of capacity, right, Like, it's not like
they all knew each other, but they are different walks
of life, and they know my humor is super dry.
I'm not like if I were to say just joking
after every little thing that I wasn't being serious, it

(02:35):
would just be nuts.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
Oh so I'm happy you guys knew that because of
the headline was dwts alom Sherylberg planned fortieth birthday all
by my lonesome, says her friends didn't fing care. That's amazing.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
I mean, I think if we put if we put
effing in the headline, you should know it's not serious.

Speaker 1 (02:59):
Okay, hey, thank you. And then TMZ obviously picked it
up from you, because, like I would say, people most
reliable when it comes to the news, Like you guys
don't really like you try to be as like whatever
you see right or whatever you've heard, and you do
do the research to where it becomes a fact, I
would assume, right, we do.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
A lot of homework.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
Yes, yes, And you guys are so like you are
always and I've been with my publicist for so many
years and like, you guys are the most reliable, right,
like you guys are definitely if your source of entertainment
news should come from people, I.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
Mean, I'll take that to the bank, right, Yeah, no,
I mean I agree. And my feeling is we don't
run it until we confirm it ourselves.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
Right, So how do multiple s this one?

Speaker 2 (03:43):
So your social media was just a pickup of your
social media?

Speaker 1 (03:46):
Got it? Got it? Okay? Okay, So this is how.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
We all read it as like, you know, tongue in
cheek for sure.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
Okay, good good. I'm glad because, like I think, I
get confused sometimes about like how I was edited on
Dancing with Stars. Obviously it's a Disney show. It's also
family friendly. Like most of what I say during rehearsals
you can only imagine, right, like the crap that comes
out of my mouth and other people's mouths. So like
if you really were to like be an editor in
the editing room, like there's most of it you just

(04:13):
can't use. I have to do pickups all the time
when I was on the say with the Stars, because
it's like it's pretty bad, it's vulgar. But I don't
know if people know that about me. That's all so
like people I remember seeing a comment which is so
I can't wait till I'm done with comments, but like
meaning like not care what people think, slowly but surely.
But until then, I saw one person and be like,

(04:33):
she's always complaining about something, and I'm like, you guys
are so it's amazing. Anyway, I now live in a
town not in LA, but not far from LA where
the harbor is really close by, okay, and I just
was looking into yachts, mind you. I was supposed to
go see Magic Mike with Leah Remedy, that is, and

(04:57):
maybe we would have stopped and seen a you know,
good old club at Chippendale's, but I don't know. He
hasn't reach to burn my text, so no chipp and
Dales for me until he does. Any who, So I
was like, you know what, how can I do this?
It's it's my fortieth I spent my thirty ninth birthday
alone and I was like, you know what, I deserve this.
And it was a choice for me to be alone

(05:18):
before anything gets printed out about that, that was by
my loans hself, but there was a choice, and I
was like, you know totally, And I was like, I've
got double the budget now fit anyway. It was so
worth it, and I didn't realize I could definitely be
a party planner. But with people with no budgets, just no,
don't give me a budget, you know, but we can
do this as far as Amazon goes, I am an addict. Hi,

(05:41):
my name is Sheryl, and I am now a shopping addict. Men,
mind you, I also love returning. I just returned most
of the stuff that I showed you guys, because these
freaking like photo the photo booth was a hot mess.
It was a whole thing, but it was stressful and
I love stress.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
Clearly, Well, it looked amazing. The photos were stunning.

Speaker 1 (06:02):
That whole balloon thanks photo booth area was gorgeous. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
By the way, lest anyone be confused, you had lots
of amazing friends there who totally photos there, which is
in the story, so it was clear you had lots
of friends.

Speaker 1 (06:17):
There to show them to be there. They were patriots.
Did not like I said, I don't live in LA,
but they drove all the way from LA. You know.
It was so sweet. We had a taco bar. It
really made me so happy to see my Pinterest dream
come true come to life.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
I love that.

Speaker 1 (06:34):
I just hope Mindy Weiss was proud of me, that's all.
I'm sure she should be. It looked stunning, So thank you.
Harry Jowsey confirms secret relationship and response to Riley Arnold rumors.
So mind you let me just I don't need to
read about this. Like, look, it is pretty self explanatory.
He had a secret girlfriend, which I don't know why

(06:55):
it was a secret because she.

Speaker 2 (06:57):
Was on Love is Blind.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
Oh shit, I didn't. I guess I didn't really read
the story.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
Who it was Jess?

Speaker 1 (07:04):
Which stop? Yeah, the really pretty one.

Speaker 2 (07:08):
The really pretty one with the kid.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
Wait what say Moore?

Speaker 2 (07:14):
Okay, I'll say more. There's rumors all over online. I'm
sure it'll be announced soon. But like they were doing
Perfect Match, we know that Jess was on Perfect Match.
Everyone knows that Harry was on Perfect Match.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
I mean I don't I've never seen it. This is me.

Speaker 2 (07:28):
Well, season two's coming soon, okay presumably, yes, they filmed
it a long time ago. But yeah, so that was
I mean at the time when they were doing Dancing
with the Stars, nobody knew who Jess was because that
season of Love is Blind hadn't dropped yet. But Also,
I will just say a no planet. Did I ever
think there was anything actually going on between Riley and Harry?

(07:51):
Same adorable, They're both adorable, And all credit to them
for playing it up because it sure gets you all
out of it.

Speaker 1 (07:58):
It wasn't them, it's the producers. The producers, Like, I mean,
first of all, this is her first season.

Speaker 2 (08:03):
Yeah, and she's what eighteen.

Speaker 1 (08:08):
Listen, she's lds right when.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
They get married, super duper young, which doesn't really seem
like Harry's vibe.

Speaker 1 (08:14):
Well, and mind you too that, like, yeah, it doesn't
work like literally, I knew that from the beginning. But
like because they had a very platonic relationship. Now, when
it comes to that fifteen thousand dollars watch, every pro
dancer on that show deserves one, okay from their partners regardless,
because we work our asses off on that show. Yeah
you do. Speaking of Netflix, let's talk about did you

(08:42):
watch the Roast? I did watch parts of the ROAs
parts fire.

Speaker 2 (08:47):
It was fire.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
It was so I watched it two in the morning.
I started it. I was like, what the heck? But
I could only do half of it because it started
getting very uncomfortable. Mm hmmm. And this a lot. Takes
a lot to get me uncomfortable. Like it was interesting
because first of all, how does this all work? Was
he asked, is he getting paid to do this?

Speaker 2 (09:10):
He's surely getting paid to do this. I mean, nobody
does a Netflix special and isn't getting paid.

Speaker 1 (09:16):
I mean, I think we'd be surprised.

Speaker 2 (09:20):
Fair, but I cannot imagine he didn't get paid. I
think they all get paid.

Speaker 1 (09:27):
I am not sure. Was I just saw I read
something in the Washington Post where they talk about like,
you know, the first of all, Washington Post did not
love this at all, and they didn't they thought it
was quite vulgar and disrespectful to you know, real comedians
and how like there's a way to be funny without
being so nasty. And I didn't love the jabs that

(09:47):
were being like thrown at Giselle regardless of what happened.
And then like he was alluding to that it happened
when he would every time you would drink or go
like this.

Speaker 2 (09:56):
Yeah, No, there was a lot and even the Bridge
at Moynihan slam, even there was a slam against Kim
Kardashian that was referred to that referred to Kanye that
was really awful.

Speaker 1 (10:09):
Wait was it when Jeff said what did he say
something about.

Speaker 2 (10:14):
Kim being nervous to leave her kids at home with
their dad.

Speaker 1 (10:18):
So I also read that Jeff and Tom Brady they
met like they talked through the whole script, meaning that
whole part where he would whisper, where he got up
and whispered, and Jess, you're not like, don't say that shit.
That's all scripted, I think jokes on us. It's all choreography,
you know about that? Yes, that wasn't like, by the way,

(10:39):
because the person who looked like he was very much
had cotton mouth. He ever was next after him anyway,
he kept looking his lips and I just all I
could focus on. But he said basically the same thing,
and no one said anything to him.

Speaker 2 (10:52):
Yeah, And of course Jeff is a producer on the show,
and they do get paid. Everybody's getting paid.

Speaker 1 (10:59):
Why someone going to ask, like people are wondering, why
would someone like Tom Brady, who doesn't really need this,
do that and then risk his family and his kids.
That's the one thing that rubs me the wrong way,
just his kids.

Speaker 2 (11:11):
I mean, the only answer I can come up with
is maybe he wants people to know he has a sense.

Speaker 1 (11:16):
Of humor or he's maybe really nervous that he's not
in spotlight anymore, and that is it is tough. It's tough.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
I'd be very curious to know why he made that
choice to do this, because, as you said, he doesn't
have to.

Speaker 1 (11:34):
It's not like he needed the money. Well, right, so
he wanted Maybe it's that empt he's trying to fill
in avoid And then Chelsea Handler, I wish she would
have done it because she was there.

Speaker 2 (11:44):
And she's amazing at these roasts. She's incredible.

Speaker 1 (11:47):
She doesn't go do you find that like? I love
Nicki Glazier. Look she did Dancing with the Stars. I think,
holy shit her if she's like great, her career is
going amazing. She's everywhere.

Speaker 2 (11:57):
I cannot wait for her special it's coming up soon.
If this is this weekend, I think it's this weekend
on Max.

Speaker 1 (12:04):
Did you find what she said offensive at all? It
was a.

Speaker 2 (12:07):
Little dicey, but also it's a roast, Like I don't know,
I think that's what these roasts are. They always get
a little it has to be they always crossed the
line just a little bit.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
No one would tune in if that was the case,
if they didn't, Yeah, people are watching for exactly that purpose.
By the way, Giselle's upset as she should be, right, Yeah,
does you think?

Speaker 2 (12:29):
Yeah? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (12:31):
Would you like to talk about Nicki's interview on Howard Stern? Sure? Yeah.

Speaker 2 (12:36):
So Nicki went on Howard Stern and shared some of
the jokes that she did not do, like what she did,
admit that she was going to make a joke about
a massage for Robert Kraft that she held back on,
and she also talked about Jeff feeling bad about the
joke he made about Robert Kraft, which is interesting because,

(12:59):
as you said, it felt that whole moment with Tom
kind of telling him to stop felt so choreographed.

Speaker 1 (13:06):
But not after though. That's the thing now that I'm
like really looking at it, like rewinding a little bit
from what I saw. He did apologize, and maybe that
wasn't part of the script. I don't know, what do
you think.

Speaker 2 (13:16):
Maybe it wasn't may maybe he went rogue and it
did cross the line for Tom. He did look genuinely,
I don't know what he did.

Speaker 1 (13:25):
It's just weird, Like I don't think you should apologize
and if you do, do it off camera, like because
it's part of the roast. Yeah, just got to go
with it. Well, same with Kevin Hart, was like totally
like was saying, who's this guy Jeff? Like he's like
apologizing and licking his ass basically after saying something like that,
which was actually quite funny. Yeah, Jeff is amazing, I hope,

(13:45):
he continued. I mean, I like him as a person.
He was nice though it was short and sweet his
time on Dancing with the Stars. But you know what,
like he seems like a great guy. Editor Slowinska, who
I just had on she said that they still keep
in touch, So I love that. I love hearing that.

Speaker 2 (13:59):
Yeah, he does seemed like actually a genuinely nice, fun
guy to be around.

Speaker 1 (14:03):
Yeah, and definitely felt bad. I'm sure if that wasn't
scripted any who, Gleb mister Chippendale himself, we're gonna make
it rain, speaking of, he just goes butt naked on
the stage of Chippendale's, which I'm sure is a great
and pretty sight right for most women.

Speaker 2 (14:22):
You know what's really funny is Gleb is very busy
right now, because I know he just didn't he just
choreograph the Christmas movie that Danica mckeller is filming as
we speak for Great American Family, which is a super
Christian network. Oh and then he's naked on stage. I
find kind of fascinating.

Speaker 1 (14:41):
Wait is he on them? Is he? Like actually in
the movie.

Speaker 2 (14:44):
He's not in this one, but he was in one
with her last year. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (14:48):
So that was last year.

Speaker 2 (14:49):
Yeah, that was.

Speaker 1 (14:51):
His show The Goods.

Speaker 2 (14:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (14:55):
This is the one thing that I do hope seriously
in his favor that he asked for permission with the
executives at Dancing with the Stars. So this is the thing.
I don't know what their contracts are like now. I
just remember like in the beginning the first ten year
contract I signed, it was like we had to ask
like from my first book I wrote, like we had
they had to read it like it was a whole

(15:16):
and mind you, I get it because you're representing the
brand Like that is something for sure that you need
to all be on the same page when it comes
to stuff outside of the show and whatever. I just
don't know if they like he One of the questions
that The Sun asked would be was like, would you
quit the show to do this full time? Here at Chippendale's,

(15:39):
and he said, hopefully I could do both. This is
the thing when the celebrities come off Dancing with the
Stars and they join Chippendale's, it's because they're never coming
back on Dancing with the Stars, like it's a one
and done for them right now, for the pro dancers
and for Gleb and so far his run it's been
he's been quite I would say someone that was there consistently, right,

(16:01):
I don't know. I think he's gonna have to choose
and eh, I don't know, what do you think. I
don't know.

Speaker 2 (16:06):
My fingers are crossed for him that they let him
stick around. But you make a great point.

Speaker 1 (16:12):
It does feel like if it's a one off, it's
one thing, I think. But she can't come back. He
can't like do this as a full time job and dancing.

Speaker 2 (16:20):
Yeah, it definitely is somewhat different audience that is tuning
in isthing all start, I mean, right, is it?

Speaker 1 (16:27):
I don't think so, I think and I'm not saying
that well, but I think I don't think people.

Speaker 2 (16:32):
Who won't admit that they're going to Vegas to then
see the Chip and Dale Show, they didn't tell what
happened to Vegas, stay in Vegas for these Dancing with
the Stars fans.

Speaker 1 (16:42):
I would say most people that are there are not
there just to go see a chipping, Like they're there
because of a bachelorette party, right, They're there because they're
like their husbands want to go gamble, and why not
go see globe strip like light as well, right, if
they're not big gamblers, like i'd be at the Black
Jacks to be quite honest, that's just me though, But yeah,

(17:03):
do you love Blackjack? I do? Oh my god, I
love you. Going back to Gleb's genitals, things I never thought.

Speaker 2 (17:14):
I'd be talking about on a podcast.

Speaker 1 (17:16):
Right, But I think if he had to choose, I
would choose Chippendale's for him because he's definitely in a
world of his own, meaning like no one else from
the show. I think it's very important to separate yourself
if you can, right, like meaning like the from the ensemble.
I think this is really good for him actually, because

(17:36):
first of all, this is what he should be doing, right,
like hello, and yes, he's a nice guy, like we
don't even yeah, but like, let's just be real. If
I were his agent, and let's say it was an ultimatum,
I would say, do another season, but then be ready
to be done, because really he's also in his forties. Like,
if you think about the longevity as a pro dancer,

(17:58):
there's gonna be a replacement if the show goes on
till season thirty three thousand, right, Like it's just the
way it is. We all get older. But on Chip
and Dale's like, I don't think like it. I don't
think it. As long as you keep looking good like
and don't like let let it go too much, You're fine.

Speaker 2 (18:14):
He's pretty and he's going to keep selling tickets long
after he's on Dancing with the Stars.

Speaker 1 (18:19):
Thank you, And he'll actually have something to do after
you know, the show.

Speaker 2 (18:24):
Yeah, and presumably I imagine Chip and Dale's probably actually would
allow him to be doing all kinds of other projects
simultaneously because it only serves them totally.

Speaker 1 (18:34):
And he said that he choreographs it his part, So
what if it turns into a bigger opportunity in Vegas
where he does Magic Mike and Thunder from down Under?
You know, it was like a blood's face on everything.

Speaker 2 (18:46):
Arianna's big news this week is she's coming back to Chicago.
Not the place, but the show on Broadway.

Speaker 1 (18:53):
Yes, which I is.

Speaker 2 (18:55):
You know, that's a testament to her star power. Speaking
of star power, I mean she sold tickets like crazy
enough that they bring her back is pretty rare, honestly,
especially for a show like Chicago that's really been enjoying
bringing in these stunt casts. Not not discrediting her talent,
but they do like to know.

Speaker 1 (19:16):
They had Lisa Rna on, They've had everyone from dancing
like Samantha Harris, Pamela Anderson did it another dwts it.

Speaker 2 (19:23):
Yeah. Of course. Obviously the season of vander Pump Rules
is winding down. We've got the reunion coming up. Uh
and sounds like they're going to be taking a little
pause from filming, which I think is good news. I mean,
they need to give them a break. I also feel
like nobody really wants to keep doing that show, do they?

Speaker 1 (19:41):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (19:42):
I mean, they want to keep they want to keep
cashing their checks.

Speaker 1 (19:44):
But well, that's the thing. What other than Ariana, what
are they going to do?

Speaker 2 (19:48):
Well? I think Ariana maybe has proven that she can
do other things, and maybe she who knows, maybe she
wants out. The pause is good for her, obviously, it
means she can go back to Broadway and do all
her seven thousand different other things.

Speaker 1 (20:02):
She's just been toasting Love Island, didn't she Well, they.

Speaker 2 (20:06):
Filmed they like air, almost in real time, so she's
about to start. Oh, they're coming back in June, and
they've basically what you see on TV happened within the
last seventy two hours.

Speaker 1 (20:19):
I think they could still do vander Pom Rules with Ariana.
I think that's the big question. Can they will? People say,
I do believe we need a break now. I don't
know what it would be as far as like politically,
and like you would think that because everyone is so
money focused, which is fine, I get it, but like
when it comes to Andy Cohen, Let's say, if he's
the one that makes decisions, I don't know if he does,

(20:40):
but like I think I would continue to ride the wave.
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (20:45):
I mean I think that they're these people are still
going to be everywhere all the time doing all the
Bravo other things. They're not going away just because they're
not filming for a few months.

Speaker 1 (20:55):
And I'm sure something scandalous will happen like it did
last time with her finding this out. They weren't even
in production. You know the show is going to get canceled.

Speaker 2 (21:01):
Yes, and they weren't in production and then this happened
and they immediately sprung into action. So now they've proven
they can do that should something juicy happen. But I
think probably there's part of them that's really hoping that
that is going to happen, that there will be some
sort of a next scandal, next beat in that story
where they do have to jump into production unplanned, because

(21:24):
that's what makes good TV. I mean truly. The way
that vander Palm won eightied and became the hottest thing
on television Musty TV was incredible. It was one of
the biggest one eighties of a show I've ever seen.

Speaker 1 (21:40):
Right because it was gonna get canceled.

Speaker 2 (21:42):
I mean it was. It was on the brink for sure.
Allison Holker says she has used nanny's Now, keep in mind,
Alison has three children, is a single mom. Now, to me,
there's nothing surprising about this story.

Speaker 1 (22:04):
I mean, I.

Speaker 2 (22:04):
Think I highly doubt there's a single celebrity who doesn't
have a nanny to help them.

Speaker 1 (22:11):
I love that she's shouting her out. That's yes, there
are backbones.

Speaker 2 (22:16):
Yes, I have to imagine that having a nanny, especially
for someone like Allison, who is very busy, constantly working,
raising three kids alone and helping them through the trauma
of losing twitch, which you know only happened less than
a year and a half ago.

Speaker 1 (22:36):
Oh wow. I mean I have a nanny for my
dog twenty four hour and I respect it.

Speaker 2 (22:42):
I think if you if you need the help and
you can afford the house, there's no shame in getting help.
And in her case, again it's there's three kids and
she's working really hard and she I don't know the
idea of anyone shaming anyone freezing a nanny doesn't make
sense to me.

Speaker 1 (23:00):
Is at the response that you've been getting on people, you.

Speaker 2 (23:03):
Know, it's always mixed. I think some people are turn
their nose up at it. But I think for someone
like Alison, people are a little bit more forgiving. You've
talked about it so many times, but there's so much
beauty in asking for help when you need it, and
that includes hiring a nannie. It includes all of the things,
and a chef, sure, and a yacht and a yacht

(23:25):
and a yacht for your birthday party.

Speaker 1 (23:29):
Okay, let's go to Jewel. I love Jewel so much.

Speaker 2 (23:33):
I mean, people had the most incredible interview with Jewel
last weekend. I mean, she really opened up about all
of the things she's been through, but also the way
that art has been healing for her.

Speaker 1 (23:45):
And this is a.

Speaker 2 (23:46):
Woman who has grew up in such a difficult home.
Her mother left when she was about eight years old.
I believe her father struggled with addiction, and she was abusive,
she was homeless. She you know, when she even was
launching her career, no one believed in her. They didn't
feel like she had the look, she had this weird voice,

(24:08):
like all of these things. And she's been mocked so
many times in so many ways, I mean even still,
but really, oh yeah, but she's such a talent and
she's such an incredible person for how open she has been.

Speaker 1 (24:23):
And how she doesn't need another person to like be
codependent on or to define her own identity through, like
this is the thing with Jewels. So I've been very
invested in her, like charity that she has and I
even played for it when I sucked at Real Fortune. Anyway,
that was so unfair. That's a whole other story. But
like anyway, I barely want anything, but I put all

(24:45):
the money to her her foundation, and we've been were friendly,
you know, And I went to one of her events
in Cincinnati a couple of years ago because she's such
a huge mental health advocate. And I respect anybody that
is first of all, has the courage to be as
transparent as someone like a Jewel, right, who is very famous,

(25:05):
and she is very well aware. But not only am
I impressed about her courage for vulnerability, it's about her awareness,
like how mature she is when it comes to what
she had pointed out in her book, for example, where
she already was able to know that she wasn't her
thoughts like at such a young age. Wow, Like what

(25:28):
an old soul in that sense like so, and especially
being in this business, right, it's so easy to go
the opposite way, put it that way, and she has
been able to stay sane. Really, I look up to
someone who isn't so affected and yet stays true to
who they are, regardless of other people, you know commenting.

(25:50):
I remember, she just just reminded me of this TikTok
post that she did about her son and how she
totally told people to basically shut up in a nice
way about calling her son names and being mean in
the comments, and she was so vulnerable and was crying,
and I just admire her, like she's a godsend. She
seriously thank God for her. Yeah, she's so real, she

(26:11):
really is.

Speaker 2 (26:11):
Just so she's so honest, like you say, I mean,
there is no she's not hiding anything from anyone or
putting on any front.

Speaker 1 (26:22):
It's so interesting that she has a boundary though, like
you're very clear with the boundary.

Speaker 2 (26:26):
But I respect that. I mean, I think that's that's
a piece of celebrity that you kind of have to have.
And we of course asked her about the rumors about
her and Kevin Costner, and she she kind of doubled
down and was talking about being her own woman and
standing on her own because that is true.

Speaker 1 (26:41):
Though that is true. I think that Look, I think
they have lived a lot of life, but the both
of them, and I don't think that they they're not
hiding it, but they're also not flaunting it, right, And
I think that's smart. And if I were to be
in another let's say, and I wouldn't say our mind
was high profile. It was just like a public relationship, right,

(27:05):
I don't think I would be so I would protect
it more than I have ever protected it, but not
lie and not pretend. Still, but there's a fine line,
I think, right, and I think that's what she's doing. Yeah,
I see that, and I respect that completely.

Speaker 2 (27:20):
You know. I think people need to find the people
who are going to be a rock and be supportive
and be someone to talk to and share experiences with.
And Jewel and Kevin have both been through so much
in their lives and have experienced all the avenues of fame.

Speaker 1 (27:39):
And I don't know, we're not going to like a
public restaurant in Beverly Hills when they can just be
in Santa Barbara or Monacito and just like get a chef,
like you know what I mean, There's certain things that
you choose to do, Like you don't have to be
seen exactly, You can just be, can you. I would
love to be that. That's my goal in life, Seriously,

(28:00):
I love that. On that note, thank you so much,
you're here time.

Speaker 2 (28:04):
You are so welcome, Cheryl. This was so much fun,
so fun. Can you come back anytime?
