The first presidential debate is scheduled for next week in Atlanta, Georgia. Participants needed to receive 15% support in four separate national polls and appear on the ballot in enough states to potentially win 270 electoral votes. Despite his efforts, Independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. failed to meet CNN's qualifying standards.
