(00:00):
Hello. There, it's and sheWard. Thank you for checking out my
podcast today. I do believe Ihave a NASCAR champion on the line with
me right now. Hey, it'sJosie Gano. Hi Joey. So nice
to talk to you. Thanks fortaking the time today. Absolutely thanks for
having me. I tell you youare a very busy man these days,
so every day. But it's agood thing, you know, it's good.

(00:23):
It's funny. People don't realize thatyou NASCAR drivers, you do work
Monday through Friday, not just onthe weekends. You know. I wish
it was just the weekend, butit's not the case at all. Nope.
Well, we are doing something reallycool coming up on one particular weekend,
and I just wanted to get youon the phone to talk about your
charity concert that's coming up at CoyoteJoe's. We're so excited about this.

(00:48):
Absolutely, it's going to be ablast. May twenty third at Coyote Joe's.
We got the Joey Logano's Concert forCharito. It's our second annual one
last year we sold this thing out. Is absolutely incredible. We got a
great life up again. We gotTracy Lawrence Walker Hayes, Larry Fleet,
and we also have the Frontman, which is they feature some of the some
of the best country music singers witha bunch of hit songs. We got

(01:11):
Richie McDonald from Lone Star, yougot Larry Stewart from Russell's Heart, and
also Tim Rushler from from Texas atLittle Texas And Yeah, it's gonna be
a good time because it's a guitarpool. So everyone sets up there on
the stage and they sing a song, and I go down to the next
one and they sing a song, and it keeps going around a few times,
so it's a it's a blast.It's a lot different than other charity

(01:32):
events where sometimes it's it's a littlebit more boring. This is not gonna
be boring. This is going tobe super exciting and fun and and we're
gonna have a party while we raisemoney for for foster kids and the Charlotte
region. Your foundation's given millions andmillions of dollars away to two a lot
of foster care organizations that helped thesefamilies and kids with the tools and the

(01:53):
resources they need to help them becomea contributing member of society. That's the
that's the goal behind all this, but we're gonna have some fun doing it
as well. So I wanted tothank you for what the Joey Logato Foundation
has done because, like you said, so many millions of dollars to benefit
kid in our area, you know, whether they're during a time of crisis
or just anything around the foster caresystem. It's so important. So thank

(02:16):
you for what you and your familyare doing. That's so amazing. Well,
we have a bunch of great supporters, right, We're just one piece
of the puzzle, and really thebiggest people that are making this happen or
the actual families, right, theparents that see these kids in a scenario
where is not of their own doing, right, they kind of get put

(02:36):
in the situation. It's really sadto see that, but it's also so
fulfilling to see the success stories, right, And it takes years to see
the success stories the investment in thetime it takes to raise a child.
I'm sure every parent understands that ittakes a long time to see it turn
out on the backside. And thefoundation has been long enough around long enough

(02:58):
now just to see those success stories. And I'm glad to have a small
part and that, and that's because, like you said, we have amazing
supporters, great race fans, greatpartners that work with us on our race
cars every week that that also supportwith this. The event was a huge
hit last year, raised almost ahalf a million bucks and we're playing on

(03:19):
doing that again this year. Well, and you mentioned earlier it is a
guitar pool and if no one's everdone that. What they do is you
have all these artists on stage. They sing acoustic, and then they'll talk
about the songs and talk about recording, and then they start joking around with
each other. It just becomes likealmost like you're just sitting around a campfire,
right with a bunch of guys withguitars. It's so fun. It's
exactly what it's like. And it'scool because, I mean, these guys

(03:43):
are all like they're hit guys, right, and they're at the top of
their team, and it's fun tohear not only the stories, but just
like you said, the bans areback and forth, and the fun that
they have with it is like you'rehanging out with you know, like you
said, around the campfires, hangingout vs. Having some fun and hearing
some good music. I wanted totell everybody too. I just spent some

(04:03):
quality time with the frontmen who youmentioned who are on here. They are
the guys who sang the big,big hits from the nineties and the early
two thousands, from Little Texas,Restless Heart, and Lone Star. And
they're gonna sing all those songs. These are songs like What Might Have Been
and Amazed, and they're gonna singthose songs and then they're gonna tell the

(04:25):
stories behind them, and they're gonnatake you down memory lane. I do
have one question for you, JoeyLogano though. So so we've got Walker
Hayes, who sings fancy like.I'm just curious, Joey, do you
know the dance for fancy Like?Even if I didn't know the dance,
you're probably never gonna know. Okayme either, let me tell you.

(04:47):
Every time I talk to Walker,he's like, did you learn it yet?
I'm like, nope, too leftFeet. I do love his music,
though, all the way through hiscareer they followed him. So we're
really excited to have Walker there. He's actually gonna be a teadegens this weekend,
so excited to see in there.Yeah, he is an Alabama boy.
That is that is his hometown turfover there. So well, thank

(05:11):
you for doing this concert with ninetysix point nine the Cat. We're so
excited. Like you said, it'scoming up Thursday, May twenty thirty Coyote
Joe's. You can go to CoyoteDash Joe's dot com right now. We've
got tickets on sale. It willsell out, Okay. I'm just warning
you right now, do not comewhining to me when it's sold out and
you want tickets all right, becauseit's a charity and I'm not giving them

(05:32):
to you for free. So Joey, thank you for chatting with me for
a few minutes. And I'm prettyexcited about the concert. You and I
will just stand in the corner wheneveryone else is doing the fancy like dance.
Okay, yeah, well yeah exactly, that's a good idea. We'll
find a dark corner at that point. Stay the list. I've got to

(05:53):
go take this call. I gottado a thing over here. So all
right, my friend, thank youso much. I'll talk to you soon.
Okay, absolutely, thanks for havingme on Love your station.
