(00:01):
Awesome to get him back in studio. It was an adventure last time you
were here. Do you remember that? I do know it. It's probably
good you don't. You might haveskipped us this time came round. What's
up, man? How are you? I'm good man? It was we
had you on stage and you're likeyeah, and you're like, I wouldn't
have shown up and you were wearingslippers or something, or your house.
You're like, we're in front ofall these people. What I probably would

(00:23):
have showed up like that. Honestly, I got to ask because you were
busiest year of your life in twentytwenty three, right, Yeah, it's
pretty busy going into twenty four. What are some things you want to do?
Because obviously your family continues to grow. It's no secret that that's a
massive priority to you. Yeah, that they're first. So how do you

(00:43):
manage manage the two? Especially nowyou got more new music coming. Obviously
a new year means a new tour, So how are you managing the two?
It's honestly pretty easy because we justbring them with us, so they're
always with me. I think themy main priority right now is just to
get back on the road. I'vebeen so bored and we got great new
music. Now we're still working on, you know, a little bit more
to get the album finished. Butyeah, main main things to get back

(01:06):
on the road, knowing that yourmusic can still make an impact even when
you're not on the road. Right, we're about to talk about a song
that is on its way to doingwhat You're no stranger two and that's number
one? Right, What does itmean to still see your music grow even
though it's a time where you're notnecessarily pounding the pavement. It's always cool,
but it's still like I'm the person. It's like, Okay, it's

(01:29):
been out, Like I'm ready tokeep releasing and just being in front of
people. I feel like too long, Like right now I'm in the moment
of and I don't even want totalk about it, but the COVID moment
or it was like nobody could tour. That's how I'm feeling right now.
I'm like ready to get back out. Listen. I can only imagine,
especially over the holidays. Are youa guy who your live shows are so

(01:52):
good? But are you a guywho if it goes too long, you're
like anybody got a birthday party?I could sing that anyway. So no,
it's a I don't know, it'sit's I feel like for any artists,
I don't know. There's some thatmight like to relax, But for
me, I'm so competitive that ifI feel like people are forgetting about me,
you know, like I'm always tryingto think of something something I can

(02:14):
do. Like during the Super BowlI saw so many country music faces up
on the commercials. I'm like,Yo, what are we doing? You're
like, why is King Brown notin an Uber eats at What are you
doing? I order from Uber Eatsall the time. Bro, I could
have been the driver or something. We're gonna tag Uber Eats and we're gonna
make this happen for Cam Brown. What's a good part though? As much

(02:36):
as you are not necessarily a homebody, right like, you like to be
out. You like to be creatingmoments for fans and doing what you were
born to do. But what's thebest part about being home? I mean,
the best part of it being homeis just the comfortable. Like I
mean, when I'm at home,I have no worry in the world,
you know, especially as crazy asthe world is. We just feel safe.

(02:59):
I guess that's the about being ahome. And then like yesterday,
I posted on my story, uh, because I feel like I am always
on the go that I never reallysit down and appreciate, you know,
what we've built. So I gotto do that last night, just in
my backyard. And let me askyou. I tried it because it's my
job. No stocker status here, but I try to pay attention anytime you're

(03:20):
putting out a song. You gotsomething new coming, obviously, I want
to touch base on the song thatyou teased recently. But last time you
talked to us, and I thinkit's when the current single came out.
You had mentioned a song about itwas about like a dad not being there,
right, and you had talked aboutbut you still haven't put that out
yet, right, No, stilltrying to get it perfected. Music sounds

(03:44):
great. I just got to findout where the emotion is. Okay,
how so explain to me because wehear all the time about writing, recording,
writing recording. When you when yousay the emotion is in the song,
what does that mean for you?Like, I've already recorded this,
like so it's a very worthy song. So when I'm singing, I don't
want to get. I want youto be able to listen to the story

(04:08):
and feel the emotion. As tohow I approach the song, I feel
like me the way I sung it. Right now, you're just kind of
listening, but you're not paying attentionto the words but not feeling it right
Well, I mean you're I wouldsay, you're feeling it, but the
words aren't as impactful as they shouldbe because the words to the song are

(04:29):
very strong, and I want to, you know, make my voice get
that over even more so. Isthat your delivery thing? Is it production
thing or is it like maybe youswitch out some words. Well, so
we started with a production and weactually I referred to a cold spot the
song was on my first album,YEP, because it's kind of the same
feel. So we slowed the trackdown and now we're just waiting for me

(04:51):
to go back and re sing it. I can't wait to hear it.
Man, when you talk about anew project, do you know how that's
coming together already? Like? Areyou is it? How far down the
road are you with that? Imean, I would say I'm pretty pretty
decent. We started a whole Ifound a couple of riders of where I
was. I've been wanting to gothat I'll have the same kind of feel

(05:13):
and all the same type of musicthat they write. So the next goal
is to get all of them ina room together, because I've been doing
it separate and so I feel likewhen I really bring them all together,
it's going to be some more magicthat happened for the album. When it
comes to how massive last year wasfor you, we're talking like, you
know, playing NBA stadiums or arenasand stuff like that. What do you

(05:34):
hope that you can accomplish this yearthat will top that? Like you have
an end goal career wise, likesome of the big things right whether it's
Grammy this or sold out football stadiumsat what's something this year that realistically is
like, hey, Cane Brown needsto do this this this man Right now,
I'm just staying focused on moving forward. Our career has been growing.

(05:59):
It's every year, grown every year, and I mean like this year we're
doing six stadiums. Last year wedid one stadium. So that's the right
path for me. So it's gonnabe bigger than last year already. And
that's just the way that you gotto focus on things when it comes to
and I'm sure to our news iscoming. So I'm not asking any dates
or names or anything. But whenyou when you look at these support acts

(06:20):
or the opening acts, like alot of people call them, how hands
are you with that selection process? And if you are not names, but
like what do you look at?Very hands on with that? And I
look at one of the most importantthings to me is the hang because I'm
with them all year and I don'twant somebody out there that's that's you know,

(06:44):
I don't get along with, orthat I don't want to hang with,
or there's going to be any backand forth with our teams or anything
like that, because I want everybodyto be happy. I mean, we're
doing music and getting to do showsfor a living. And then second I
go to music and and you knowfans. But this year, I feel
like we've got a really good lineup. We got you know, Parmally

(07:06):
is opening, uh and then TylerHobard is our direct support And if you
look at all our music, Ifeel like it's all diverse and cohesive at
the same time. So really pumpedwhen it comes to the new music.
UH. You in more than inmore than one sitting with you. Uh.
I've heard you say Dj Khalid tocountry music, which obviously is collab

(07:28):
heavy, right. Is there anythingthat you're looking forward to with this album
that a fan can expect, like, I mean, you've had great collabs
already in the pop world and inthe country world, So is that something
you're like, Hey, this iswhat I'm known for. You've had success,
so you're obviously doing it well.Is that something that you plan out
more versus just putting songs together?Yeah, usually don't try to foursome.

(07:48):
I have one artist that I'm reallyexcited that's that's gonna be on a collab
with me, Taylor Swift Sty theyface Time a last just to show me
that they were singing it, andall the my fans that I've asked,
who you want me to collaborate with? Their name as came up a couple

(08:09):
of times. And then of courseThomas Rhett was supposed to jump on this
song, so I sent it tohim today just to make sure he was
still going to jump on it.So it'd be cool to have a collab
with him too. Okay, God, I'm so excited for you. Came
Brown Music, Man, I amtoo, man. I feel like it's
been a while. I know,but it's glad. It's glad. Listen,
I'm sure you again. I haveso much respect for the dad side

(08:31):
being a dad, like you're fullyinvested when you're home doing your thing.
But I also get like, dad'sgot work to do. No, I'm
itching man, when it comes towhat you did last year, what you
got coming up this year? Thealbum is ready to roll, it's not
ready yet. We're close, though, what do you think like summer,
late, summer, fall, don'trush, bring, I don't know,

(08:52):
August, Christmas. My favorite iswhen the team leans over, like I'll
tell you when it's ready, okay. But but outside of that, getting
back on the road, it meansthe shows, it means connecting with fans.
But there's so much more of thatfor you as an artist that fulfills

(09:13):
you that we don't get to seeas fans. So what part of that
is important for you? For me, it's just like the adrenaline rush,
just the support and honestly, likeI have such a family with like my
band and the crew and everybody that'sout on the road. It's you know,
it's also their jobs too, soit's getting them to be able to

(09:37):
pay the bills and stuff like that. It's just a I mean, I
have hats to say it, butit's just a family organization basically. It
is. I'm glad you said thatbecause I was gonna come up. So
let's do it now. Uh.The family brand is something that the popularity
was insane. Right you did thelimited releases. I was like this shy
of hitting you on a DM,like, hey, these sell out too
fast. Help me out, what'syour plan with that more forward? Because

(10:00):
obviously you saw success there too, right Yeah, yeah, I still have
people trying to get them. Wejust changed colors a lot, and uh,
this next line I think is goingto be crazy. Uh we're doing
like white and I remember whenever Iused to wear the white hough hats.
Ah, you you couldn't get themanymore, like at any of the lids.

(10:22):
Lids still a thing. I haven'tbeen them all with lids and so
long. I'll be honest. Ibuy my hats online now. Yeah,
but I remember, like I wouldI would run out of hats because I
would go through them from sweating onstage. So I would go to lids
and they'd be like, dude,we can't get these hats in anymore,
Like they won't they just keep sellingout. So we switched to our own
and then we started selling those likecrazy. So every time I uh so,

(10:43):
we're basically we're switching the color towhite white corduroy family. And I
also have this really cool like orangecamo that's coming. Okay, I did
that? Do you know? Release? Roughly, I just want to be
with the new tour, Okay, got it. When it comes to outside
of all that, the music's coming. Let's talk what a number one means

(11:05):
to you. We get to askthat question a lot, and you sell
out, you have great music, you connect with your fans in ways that
other artists don't bother. But stilla number one does what for you?
To me? Number one means I'mgonna get to tour again. Uh,
you know, My goal is justto keep My favorite thing is like with

(11:26):
Jason As, He's got so manynumber ones that he could literally change his
show every night. Yeah. Sothat's something that I look forward to,
hopefully in the future, is tojust be able to pick and choose what
I want, you know, throwa couple of number ones up on the
board. Have have fans shoes fromthem, or even do a longer show
because I have, you know, more more songs that she was from Blow

(11:48):
the Curve for you? Why not? Yeah, I know, we got
to get you out of here quick. I want to ask you though about
you teased recently on social media anothercloud with your wife. How did that
happen? Because when we talked aboutthe first one, you're like, she
walked in and it worked essentially right, So how did this? Was this
more planned out? Was? Didshe have an idea? Did you have

(12:09):
an idea? Yeah? So there'sactually we shared that one and I shared
another one a couple of months before. So we have three now four if
you count, thank god. Sowe're just sitting on them right now and
whatever happens happens. I mean,we're going to release them, but we
don't. We just don't have aplan yet of when because she can't shoot
a music video right now anyway becauseshe's pregnant. So yeah, she's like,

(12:33):
I'm not getting behind a camera rightnow. So we have a little
bit of a time for him toget a plan. How far is she
away? And she's so sweet andshe's so kind, and when we sat
down with her when the single wentnumber one. We talked to you guys
a couple of weeks before, likeshe gets it, she gets this game.
You know, that's a part ofit all is there is there any

(12:54):
part of you that's like, hey, if you want to run and do
your own thing, like I gotyour back. Like no, I've told
her. She just coming in.It's hard for like artists, I would
say, artists to be married withkids to also do separate things when you
don't have to, yeah, becauseyou know, say she went to tour

(13:16):
and then I went to tour, and then we're split, and then it's
like we're two divorced parents. Youget one kid, I get one kid,
or you get both kids. SoI mean that's like if we were
in the need for it, itwould make sense, but we're not.
So it's just cool that she getsto release music or sing music and you
know, come on stage with me. So we're good with her right now.
Plus it's not great for a marriageif you turn her one day and

(13:37):
be like, hey, you canopen up the tours. Excuse me,
Yeah, I mean she's she's Idon't know, it would be it would
be cool. I mean I thinkTim and Faith did that. Yeah,
yeah, I don't know he hemay have opened the tour, but she
was like I in the night.Yeah, I wrap this thing up,
Cain. I know you're busy, man. Thanks for hanging. I appreciate

(13:58):
your time today, brother. Yeah, thank you.
