Closed event, upon invitation only

On 10 June, the ILO Director-General, Gilbert F. Houngbo, together with representatives from Belgium and the State of Kuwait, convenes a meeting with development partners during the 112th Session of the International Labour Conference. The primary objective of this meeting is to reaffirm, through specific indications of support, the commitment of key ILO development partners to alleviate the devastating socio-economic effects of the crisis in the OPT through the ILO's Recovery Programme. This Programme is integrated in the wider UN recovery response and in line with the Humanitarian-Development-Peace Nexus.

In November 2023, the Director-General of the International Labour Organization (ILO) convened a meeting about the situation in the Occupied Palestinian Territory where ILO’s ongoing work as well as its Emergency Response Programme was presented. Subsequently, in March 2024, a Governing Body decision mandated the Director-General of the ILO to convene a meeting of development partners to support the implementation of this Programme.
