There are two Psycho films that redefined Hollywood over the years. The first was Alfred Hitchcock’s 1960 film Psycho and the Christian Bale film American Psycho which was released in the year 2000.

Featuring two different genres, storylines, and, iconic scenes, the two movies were quite different. However, it was American Psycho that made most people uneasy. Not to mention, several of the crew members had to leave the production of the movie because their wives said so!
Christian Bale’s Film Forced Some Crew Members To Leave The Shooting
Depicting the story of Patrick Bateman, a wealthy businessman who tries to hide his psychopathic tendencies from the world, American Psycho was considered a failure upon release but gained worldwide recognition afterward.

There are probably plenty of ups and downs when it comes to working alongside your heroes, but it has to be especially weird to perform with actors you've been watching since childhood.
For the young stars of HBO's "House of the Dragon," including Ewan Mitchell, who plays Prince Aemond Targaryen, performing with Matt Smith, who plays Prince/King Consort (it depends on who you ask) Daemon Targaryen had to be utterly surreal. Smith portrayed the Eleventh Doctor on the internationally beloved British science-fiction series "Doctor Who" from 2010 to 2014, meaning he was likely a near-constant pop culture presence for the cast, who are primarily from the U.K. themselves. In order to not allow thoughts of the kindly, funny Doctor infiltrate his mind while acting opposite Smith, Mitchell decided to try something a little unusual. It was kind of Method acting, putting himself into his character as best he could, though...

American Psycho is one wild movie to improvise scenes on, yet with Christian Bale involved, nothing is impossible. Though the Batman actor’s seamless performance makes every scene look seamless yet intricately planned, there’s a gripping detail about the film’s creation that many aren’t aware of. It turns out that Jared Leto’s terrified expression in the scene where he meets his end was completely genuine. The reason? He had no idea his character’s fate was scripted to involve a brutal axing because it wasn’t, at least in Leto’s script it wasn’t.

This absolutely unhinged filming tactic actually proved to be a game-changer. By keeping him clueless, they got a real and terrified look that turned the scene into a next-level shocker.

Some movies should just be left alone. The industry recently remade the cult classic The Crow and nobody’s happy about that. The director of the first movie isn’t pulling any punches on this one. He revealed why he believes that the original movie didn’t need to be regurgitated by the Hollywood machine.
The director of ‘The Crow’ said the remake isn’t even a cash-grab
Alex Proyas is a film director who became known for cult classic science fiction films like Dark City, Knowing, and I, Robot. He is known for his keen visual sense, which has often been informed by film noir. His biggest film was probably The Crow starring Brandon Lee. Hollywood recently remade the film with Bill Skarsgård. Nobody was asking for this remake, least of all Proyas.
On his Facebook, the director roasted the intentions behind the remake and its box office performance.

Despite the little we know about Disney’s second anticipated “Tron” sequel, “Tron: Ares,” it’s clear the stars of the film had a good time making it.
Jared Leto revealed in an interview published Monday that the sci-fi franchise’s original star Jeff Bridges, who returns in the 2025 feature as computer programmer Kevin Flynn, had him ruining takes because he couldn’t stop smiling.
“One of the highlights was working with Jeff Bridges. Oh god, he’s just the best,” Leto told Will Arnett, Sean Hayes and Jason Bateman, hosts of the “Smartless” podcast, of working with the Oscar winner. “I had one take where I had to literally say cut, and they’re like, ‘What’s wrong? Did something—?’ And I’m like, ‘No, I just can’t stop f–king smiling.’”
To Bateman then enthusing, “I love that guy,” Leto continued.

Tron: Legacy was a great film for several reasons. Piggybacking off the success and impact of 1982’s Tron, the film came as a surprising sequel to the classic film and ended up gaining even more popularity than its predecessor. While another part starring Jared Leto is set to release soon, many cannot help but wonder what took the sequel so long to develop.

With the second film having been released almost 14 years ago, fans almost lost hope and wondered what caused such a great delay. The director of the 2010 film, Joseph Kosinski, gave an interview where he talked about why another film did not happen immediately after, and his reasoning was quite interesting.

Coming a full 15 years after Tron: Legacy, next year’s Ares stands as one of the most anticipated movies of 2025. We still have well over a year before it hits the big screen, but Jared Leto is already hype for the Tron sequel, taking to Disneyland to ride the Tron Lightcycle / Run.
In a new Instagram post, Leto – who at the time was in Florida for a couple of stops on 30 Seconds to Mars’ Seasons Tour – is seen approaching the Tron ride and declaring, “We gotta go, we gotta do this, man. Holy sh*t! I feel like I’m home!” He also insisted on being on the front cycle, something fans of the ride say is well worth the wait. Judging by the clip, Leto had a pretty damn good time, although some followers did rib him for not taking his grip off the handlebars.

This article contains mild spoilers for "The Crow."
It makes logical sense why a consensus of opinion is such a desired thing. Our lives in this world are finite, and free time is a luxury in a capitalist society, so most folks don't want to waste their time on books, music, television, or films that most people generally seem to hate. However, there's just no greater drug-free high for a film addict than to take a chance on a movie whose reputation is in the toilet, only to emerge having had a decent time with it. These movies don't have to be Actually Good, they don't have to be hidden gems or unsung masterpieces (though some of them absolutely can be!); they just have to be Not Trash. Yes, this can happen with reappraisals when they fall into the rose-colored purview of nostalgia, but it can also happen when you...

The Joker has become a character in popular culture and every actor involved in his crafting for any adaptation has brought something unique to its performance. Be it Jack Nicleson’s gangster, Ceaser Romero’s clown, Heath Ledger’s terrorist, or Joaquin Phenoix’s lonely man, there have been few stand-out scenes that have defined the character’s live-action presence.

While Heath Ledger’s Joker is considered to be one of the best versions of the character in live-action, Cameron Monaghan has come close to rivaling what the former was able to do with the character. While Monaghan’s performance can be considered as more of an extroverted take on Ledger’s Joker, there is one scene from Gotham that might have cemented him as the next great Joker actor in Hollywood.

After breaking out with 2019’s The Climb, an acclaimed indie dramedy snapped up by Sony Pictures Classics after world premiering at Cannes, Michael Angelo Covino has closed to deal to direct and star in Splitsville, a new comedy for Neon and Topic Studios.
Others in the cast will include Dakota Johnson (Daddio), Adria Arjona (Hit Man), and Covino’s fellow writer, producer and star of The Climb, Kyle Marvin, with whom he wrote the script. The project reunites Neon and Topic Studios following their work together on Infinity Pool, the sci-fi horror pic from Brandon Cronenberg, which marked Neon’s first in-house production set for theatrical release.

As many know, Blade is one of Marvel Studios’ most anticipated projects, with Oscar-winner Mahershala Ali set to star in the lead role. However, the film is currently in a precarious development stage, making its future uncertain. While Ali remains contracted to play the titular antihero and Mia Goth has been cast as Lilith, there’s no clear indication of when or if the film will come to fruition.
In the meantime, the recent release of Deadpool & Wolverine, which featured a return of Wesley Snipes as the original Blade, has sparked a fan campaign for Snipes to reprise his role. Ryan Reynolds has supported this movement, with many fans hoping to see Snipes make a return for at least one more movie.

The Joker has had multiple live-action appearances in films, with the best performance coming from Heath Ledger in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight. However, there’s a version of Joker that’s not much discussed like Ledger or Joaquin Phoenix or even Jared Leto. Deadpool & Wolverine has topped the box office for the last month. It’s the highest-grossing R-rated movie of all time, both domestically and internationally, and the reviews and audience reaction have been top-shelf all around. Yet, as everyone who knows anything about superhero movies knows, Ryan Reynolds had a few hiccups before making it into the big time with the Deadpool franchise. There was X-Men: Origins – Wolverine, in which he played The Merc With a Mouth for the first time, but an even bigger disaster was his time as Hal Jordan in Green Lantern.

Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars are two 2010s icons who collaborated on a new song called “Die with a Smile.” Maybe that song will become a No. 1 single in the United States and maybe it won’t. What we do know is that both Mother Monster and the “Grenade” singer have topped the charts many times.
Lady Gaga’s released 5 No. 1 songs so far
So far, Gaga has given us five Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 singles. The first two, “Just Dance” and “Poker Face,” came from her first album, The Fame. As much effort as Warner Bros. and DC Studios put into the DC Extended Universe, it's always been ... well, a bit of a roller coaster ride. There are clear triumphs, of course, which remind viewers exactly why they fell in love with these comic book superheroes in the first place. But we can't lie. It's not always pretty. And there are more than a few trainwrecks along the way. It's undeniable that the Dceu varies dramatically in quality from film to film, even if fans can't quite agree on which ones are the gems and which are the disasters.
That's where Rotten Tomatoes comes into the picture. Imperfect as it may be, it offers up at least some kind of critical consensus for how we can rank these bad boys. Are each of the positions fair? Probably not, but life isn't fair. Maybe some of these movies should be held...

Anaheim, California – August 09: Jeff Bridges at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in Anaheim, California on August 09, 2024. (Photo by Rodin Eckenroth/Getty Images for Disney) A mere 43 years after the original movie opened, and just 15 years after the first sequel was released, Tron will get its second sequel, Tron: Ares. Though, based on what’s known about the film, Tron: Ares isn’t as much a sequel as it is a reboot, with Jeff Bridges’s character, Kevin Flynn, the only one returning from the first two films. Speaking at D23, Bridges talked briefly about the new film and why he’s excited about people seeing it. (Click on the media bar below to hear Jeff Bridges) https://www.hollywoodoutbreak.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/Jeff_Bridges_Tron_ares_.mp3 Tron: Ares is scheduled to open in theaters on October 10, 2025.

The Walt Disney Company umbrella is so massive, and encompasses so many characters and franchises, that the definition of a "Disney fan" feels impossible to pin down these days. As I sat in the Honda Arena during this year's D23 fan convention in Anaheim, California, I wondered about the make-up of the audience. How many of them were Marvel folks? How many of them worshipped at the altar of Star Wars? Did some of them still pledge allegiance to good ol' fashioned Disney Animation, with a comparable appreciation for Pixar? And naturally, were there some folks who just loved all of the above?
I consider myself a pretty big fan of many of the characters and worlds that live within the Disney bubble, but I'm also perfectly capable of brushing off the stuff that just isn't for me. So as the evening's two-hour Disney Experiences Showcase panel entered its third hour,...

Walt Disney Studios announced several new projects in the works over the weekend at D23 2024 in addition to giving updates on titles it has in the works.

In the absence of Tron: Legacy’s composers, the legendary Daft Punk, Tron: Ares has turned to Nine Inch Nails instead for its score.
While not everybody was a fan of 2010’s Tron: Legacy, the film certainly hit in one particular regard: its incredible score was the result of what seemed like a once-in-a-lifetime bit of creative coupling. The film, which is of course largely set inside inside a digital world, was scored by Daft Punk, the electronic house duo who spent their decades-long career masquerading as synthetic beings. At least we think it was a masquerade. Who knows, really?
Anyway, the collaboration led to an excellent soundtrack but more than a few impediments lay in the way of Daft Punk returning for a reprise. The duo are now all but retired, at least as Daft Punk, while according to the studio.

Angelina Jolie‘s marriage with Brad Pitt secretly came with a few issues before their shocking divorce. If this source is to be believed, one of the sore spots in their relationship was Jolie’s chemistry with fellow actor Jared Leto.
A source once claimed Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt fought over Jared Leto a lot Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt | Jason Laveris/FilmMagic
Both Pitt and Jolie have experience working alongside Oscar-winner Leto. Pitt briefly collaborated with Leto years ago in the 1999 feature Fight Club. Leto worked with Jolie twice in the films Girl, Interrupted and 2004’s Alexander.
According to the anonymous source, Jolie and Leto developed a deep and long-lasting friendship behind the scenes. One that lasted even during her marriage with Pitt. The source alleged that Pitt was uncomfortable with Jolie and Leto’s bond, which led to quite a few arguments.

At its D23 fan event in Anaheim, California on Friday night, Walt Disney Studios unveiled a first, exclusive look at footage from Tron: Ares, the third entry in what is now officially the Tron film franchise—which wasn’t a foregone conclusion after Tron: Legacy underperformed back in 2010.
Following up on the ending of that film, in which the AI character Quorra (Olivia Wilde) escaped from the Grid into the real world with Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund), Tron: Ares is leaning fully in that direction with the Grid itself invading our world through the machinations of the malevolent program known as Ares (Jared Leto).
Leto and fellow cast members Greta Lee and Evan Peters came onto the D23 stage before the footage was shown, joined somewhat surprisingly by Jeff Bridges, the original Kevin Flynn, who arrived first to warm up the crowd. Even more surprisingly, Bridges also shows up at the end of the footage.

When Tron first appeared in 1982, it became one of the most popular sci-fi films of the era and is now considered a cult classic. A sequel, Tron: Legacy, was released in 2010 and received mixed reviews, but that did not stop Disney from producing yet another sequel. Tron: Ares is set to be the next installment in the series and will serve as a standalone sequel to the two previous movies. This is something we have already reported on!

The movie is a follow-up to Disney's 1982 seminal science fiction film Tron and its 2010 sequel, Tron: Legacy.
The trailer hasn't been officially released, but as we first reported on SFFGazette.com, fans on X and Reddit have wasted no time sharing footage and photos from the action-packed sneak peek.
It opens with Evan Peters' character, Julian Dillinger, talking about the rise of artificial intelligence and hints at how the Grid will factor into that. Action-packed shots of several characters come next, and unlike blue-tinted previous instalments, this movie's colour palette is very red.

Ever since it was announced that Disney was going back to The Grid for more Tron, fans have been asking the question: who’s going to be on soundtrack duties? One of the most memorable elements of 2010’s Tron: Legacy was its superlative score courtesy of French disco legends Daft Punk – but since the duo disbanded a few years ago, it was always a slim chance that they’d return for Joachim Rønning’s upcoming Tron: Ares. But now we have an official answer as to who's lined up, and it’s a particularly exciting one.
As confirmed at Disney’s D23 Expo, the Ares soundtrack will be coming from none other than Nine Inch Nails – the industrial icons known for blending rock with ear-rattling electronic production. So, perfect for a Tron film, then.

Who's ready for some more biodigital jazz, man? Throughout its 40-plus year existence, the "Tron" franchise has always been a little too far ahead of the curve for its own good. Steven Lisberger's original 1982 "Tron" film was notoriously overlooked by the Academy in spite of its groundbreaking computer-generated visual effects, and even Stan Lee didn't really get what Lisberger was going for. When Joseph Kosinski's "Tron: Legacy" arrived 28 years after that, it similarly pioneered digital de-aging and the legacy sequel formula at a time when neither of those things were in vogue. Nevertheless, the forward-looking sci-fi property has gained a loyal following over the decades, which explains why we're currently awaiting a third movie in the form of "Tron: Ares."
Whereas the original "Tron 3," the canceled "Tron: Ascension," would have been more of a direct continuation of "Legacy," this new film shifts its focus to the eponymous...

Nine Inch Nails will score the upcoming Tron movie, Tron: Ares, Disney announced during its D23 presentation on Friday.

“Tron: Ares” arrives next year, following in the footsteps of 1982’s “Tron” and 2010’s “Tron: Legacy.” And at D23 on Friday the first footage from the movie was revealed. And it is a doozy.
The movie stars Jared Leto as the titular character, a program who escapes the computerized video game world of the Grid for our own world. The footage began with Evan Peters’ Julian Dillinger, who noted on stage, “You know the name Dillinger doesn’t mean great things for those on the Grid. Dillinger is giving a speech about how we are looking for life in the stars but that we should have been looking inside – inside the Grid that is.”

It use to be we’d be transported into the video game world of Tron. Well, in Tron: Ares as Evan Peters’ villain Julian Dillinger says in the clip that was unveiled at D23 on Friday, “We’re not going there, they are coming here.”
The light cycles of Tron are seen speeding through city streets, leaving laser thin wakes behind them, and splicing cars on the street in half. Jared Leto plays the Tron-like character, clad in red while Greta Lee plays a “brilliant programmer whose great work has Ares coming into the world.” The actress was on stage with Leto, Peters and Jeff Bridges on the Honda Center stage.
Leto in the voice-over of the trailer says, “I came here to find something…something important.” We see him zooming on a light cycle with Lee’s character.

Nine Inch Nails, the band headlined by musician Trent Reznor, is composing the score for Tron: Ares, Disney announced Friday at D23.
The reveal occurred during a first-look at the sci-fi movie that is being headlined by Jared Leto and directed by Joachim Ronning.
And featured some snippets of the score work done so far. The previous installment, Tron: Legacy, had a genre-defining score from Daft Punk, so when it came to the new movie, the bar is set high.
Reznor created Nin in the late 1980s as an industrial hard rock band even though for the albums, it was the Reznor himself who was composing and playing the instruments. However, when Nin toured, the frontman assembled members who rotated in and out. The band was hugely influential in the 1990s and racked up numerous Grammy nominations and a couple of wins for songs “Wish” and “Happiness in Slavery.”
