- Voted the best Welsh guitarist in Total Guitar Magazine's poll of the greatest British guitarists.
- Often dedicates the song "Small Black Flowers That Grow in the Sky" from the band's "Everything Must Go" album to Richey Edwards, a founding member of the band who disappeared February 1st, 1995 near the Severn Bridge and is presumed by many to be dead. But Edwards' family and the band have not accepted that explanation and the band continues to pay royalties from their music into an account in Edwards' name.
- Showed his prowess and stature as a guitarist during what the band has termed their greatest-ever concert, the 2000 millennium concert in Cardiff Stadium in Wales. Shortly after the BBC joined the Manics' concert via satellite feed for "A Design for Life," Bradfield's guitar string broke during the first verse, and a new guitar had to be rushed to the stage, but Bradfield played it off well for the international audience, asking them to "watch my moves guys" and then changing a lyric in the second verse to reflect his "panicked face." But the song was a huge, show-closing hit for both audiences, TV and stadium.
- Singer, songwriter and guitarist of the Welsh rock band Manic Street Preachers.
- Fellow band member, Sean Moore, is his cousin.
- Johnny Cash I can't be arsed with, but I hate The Doors even more. They'll always get me out of the room. I could never, ever be friends with anyone who thought The Doors were any good. You can always spot a fan. They have crap haircuts and leather jackets and they hate their mothers. The Doors were even worse than The Damned, who were the musical version of the worst bits of Tiswas (1974).
- [on Nirvana] They destroyed a generation of people - they gave them a gateway to an alternative world without getting a badge first and took them to that world which, at the end of the day, was just bad metal.
- [on 'Never Mind the Bollocks' by Sex Pistols] It's immovable, a towering achievement. John Lydon's the most original rock singer of all time: unique, intelligent, so working class.
- [on what people get wrong about him] That I'm going to be six foot two. They go, 'God, you look like the Terminator on TV - you're so short'. I'm five five and a bit, I think. I'm fucking tiny.
- [2016; reply to Nicky Wire's question "How come your (hotel) room is nicer than mine?"] This is where they put you if you're a smoker.
