Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece is full of surprises. Often, it leaves the fans speechless and spellbound. One Piece has been running for 25 years, and even after so many years, it managed to hold on to its magic. Monkey D. Luffy is the main protagonist of the anime, but that does not stop the fans from taking an interest in other pirates. They sometimes also take sides with antagonists.
Due to Eiichiro Oda’s habit of maintaining secrets and revealing them when necessary, fans often create their own theories. There are instances when the theories were better than the original story. One of the mysterious characters in One Piece is Marshall D. Teach. Even after there being tons of fan theories based on him, they devised a new one, and it looks like they might be onto something.

Audiences love a bit of history. Kings, Queens, dates, battles, all of that stuff. And a big part of the fun in watching a historical drama is knowing that you are watching a version of events that have actually happened. Yes, there might not be any material evidence that J. Robert Oppenheimer’s wife was imagining him having sex with his mistress during his private security hearing, but enough of the other details are right that we don’t know for certain she didn’t.
We like learning about the small personal dramas behind the big events, and seeing how people lived and loved and worked in an age before laptops and phones. Audiences want to connect with something real. And if those historical dramas don’t get all of the details exactly right, then that’s fine too! Some people get annoyed at Neil DeGrasse Tyson-style pedantry, but...

The VR market is flooded with interactive puzzle adventures, and The Pirate Queen: A Forgotten Legend adds to the ever growing list of games in the genre. Not only are players seeing more escape room style gameplay every day in the virtual space, there appears to be a trend towards pirate-based stories. The most memorable of these titles being the recent release of Skull and Bones, which has seen a somewhat mediocre reception.
The Pirate Queen, taking aspects from the two aforementioned genres, puts it in a situation where the bar is set fairly high. While not every pirate story or puzzle game is successful, there are so many titles in the space that it becomes very difficult to create something unique and refreshing.
While there were definitely parts of the game I have experienced before, this is not like other pirate puzzlers you will come across. I was pleasantly...

With each passing chapter, the greatest anime and manga of all time, One Piece, is slowly edging towards its end. Currently, in its final saga, which is estimated to be comprised of 4 to 5 arcs, it is about to complete the first arc in One Piece. As fans like to reminisce about different arcs, one question that often dwells in the minds of fandom is: which is better, the Wano vs. Egghead arc?
Egghead Arc
The Egghead arc carries a lot of importance as it is the beginning of the final saga of the 26-year-old journey of Luffy and his crew, while the Wano arc gave us some of the most iconic moments in all of One Piece. Although it’s a neck-to-neck battle, Egghead emerges on top and is overall much better than the Wano arc.

Survivor is one of those shows that is made great by the character of the players and the work of the editors.
A jury of booted players always chooses the winner, but sometimes the winner is a surprise even to production.
It's up to the editors to craft a satisfying narrative based on the footage they have but still make sure the outcome isn't too obvious. Thirty-nine days (or 26 in the last three seasons) yields a lot of material, so you'd think they'd always have enough to go on.
Not always. Sometimes, making the winner appear deserving seems impossible, so the players' relationships and strategies are embellished or tossed aside in favor of an entertaining throughline. It hasn't always worked.
Warning: This article contains spoilers for many seasons of Survivor.

Romeo Escobar is already used to the cutthroat nature of the pageant world, so he is well-prepared to be one of the 18 new contestants on “Survivor 42.” The 37-year-old Norwalk native is a pageant coach by trade, and he is hoping to utilize his skills building up his clients to build himself up while in Fiji. My job is to prepare women for the Olympics of beauty pageants, Miss Universe,” he says in his CBS interview (watch below). “What that entails is just taking this woman and molding her to be the best that she can be. I’m gonna take that same advice that I give to my students and bring it to the game of ‘Survivor.'”

Heads up, “Survivor” fans: two of the best seasons of all time — “Heroes vs. Villains” and “Cagayan” — are now streaming on Netflix. It’s a first for the blockbuster streaming site, which officially made available these two installments of CBS’s reality TV show on November 15. While there is still no official word on when the program can resume production in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, all 40 seasons will continue to stream on CBS All Access, with Jeff Probst serving as host.

While “Survivor” fans patiently await news on when Season 41 might eventually premiere (the latest rumor has it airing in Spring 2021), there is some good news on the horizon as reruns of CBS’s reality TV show are coming to Netflix. Mark your calendars for November 15, as that’s when the series will start streaming on the platform for the first time, according to Netflix Queue. However, there’s a massive catch as Netflix has only acquired two cycles: “Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains” (Season 20) and “Survivor: Cagayan — Brains vs. Brawn vs. Beauty” (Season 28). Of course, all 40 seasons will continue to stream on CBS All Access.

For the first time since 2001, “Survivor” will not be airing in the fall. Let that sink in.
CBS had initially hoped to film the 41st season of its hit reality TV show during the early summer and air it in September, but due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, those plans have been scrapped. Instead, “The Amazing Race” Season 32 will inherit the show’s Wednesday-at-8pm slot. “Survivor” may have its highs and lows, but those highs keep fans coming back for more. Who could have known in the summer of 2000 that a reality show about strangers stranded on an island would become one of the most enduring franchises in television history? Fans were first bewitched by that first season, later titled “Survivor: Borneo,” with its cast of colorful characters like Richard Hatch, Rudy Boesch and Sue Hawk. The series became a smash hit and go on to produce 40 seasons, two per year. Above, tour our photos of the 12 best “Survivor” seasons ranked from worst to best. (We’ll update it again after “Survivor: Winners at War” concludes in May 2020.)

“Survivor” superfans are currently hyped for the upcoming all-winners season, but it’s not always the case that the most popular contestant of the season is the one who wins. In fact, the audience tends to fall in love with those who just come up short of the $1 million prize, often more so than the champion. Players like Rupert Boneham, Cirie Fields and Joe Anglim will probably never win “Survivor,” no matter how many times they come back and try. Their likability is a double-edged sword — they’re genial enough to be safe through several Tribal Councils but once it gets toward the end, they’re too big of a jury threat to win. As we prepare for “Survivor: Winners at War,” here’s the ranking of our 16 favorite lovable losers we hoped would make it onto an all-winner season someday.

“Survivor: Winners at War” officially kicks off Wednesday, February 12 on CBS, but on February 5 the network aired a retrospective special welcoming back the 20 returning champions. If you don’t know your Kims from your Dannis, or your Nicks from your Bens, then this hour-long recap special was just for you. Host Jeff Probst is back yet again for this landmark 40th season (because of course he is), with the contestants fighting for a cool $2 million instead of the paltry $1 million from years past.

Back in 2000, during the first season of “Survivor” that took place in Borneo, a semi-tradition was born. The first two contestants to be voted out by their tribes were Sonja Christopher, 63, and B.B. Anderson, 64. Early in the game, Sonja hurt her foot while B.B. took his tribemates to task about their lack of work ethic. At least three truisms about the show were established on the first episode. One, don’t be weak. Two, don’t be bossy. And three don’t be a senior citizen.
Yes, then-72-year-old Rudy Boesch, an ex-Navy Seal and the oldest contestant ever, hung in there by smartly aligning with the strongest players. But even he got quickly canned during an All-Stars season held on the Pearl Islands that aired in 2004. He hurt his ankle early on and soon after was the second person to be voted off.

When stars collide from CBS’ three marquee reality shows, you can bet there’s smack talk about whose show is tougher/better/the best. That’s precisely what happens at the starting line on “The Amazing Race 31,” the reality showdown installment between “Race,” “Survivor” and “Big Brother” alums.
In a sneak peek, via Entertainment Weekly (watch below), Phil Keoghan, touting the “first ever showdown” between alums from the three shows, asks who has the edge over the others. He knew exactly what he was doing with that one.
“Oh, the Survivors do!” Rupert Boneham shouts. “The Survivors in general are very tough.”
Naturally, the racers weren’t going take that one sitting down on their own turf. “We’re not sitting on an island for 40 days; we’re running around the world,” retorts Jj Carrell, who’s racing again with his border patrol agent pal Art Velez.

If you want to know who’s done “The Amazing Race” and who hasn’t, look no further than the sneak peek of Season 31’s reality showdown between “Race,” “Survivor” and “Big Brother” alums.
In the preview (watch above), “Survivor” stars Corinne Kaplan and Eliza Orlins are lamenting in a cab about having fallen behind and blame those “stupid drivers.” Guys, “Race” is part skill, part endurance and part taxi luck. Everyone knows this.
You know who definitely knows? Rachel Reilly, who declares, “I’m not a rookie at this.” After twice racing with her husband and fellow “Big Brother” alum Brendon Villegas, the two-time finalist and “Big Brother” champ is racing with her sister, another “Big Brother” alum Elissa Slater, who announces, “I was made for the ‘Race.'” This is the level of confidence we aspire to have.

“The Amazing Race” fans are about to be introduced to one of the greatest reality TV heroes of all time: Rupert Boneham. Longtime “Survivor” viewers are already keenly aware of this tie-dye pirate from his four seasons starring on that CBS hit. Though he never claimed victory as the winner of “Survivor,” he did take home a special fan-voted prize of $1 million during 2004’s “America’s Tribal Council.” He’s that beloved.
In the upcoming 31st season of “The Amazing Race,” which will now debut April 17 on CBS, Rupert will be teamed up with his wife Laura Boneham, who previously competed against Rupert on “Survivor: Blood vs. Water” in 2013. Laura finished in 12th place that season, far outlasting her husband as he was the first person voted out of what turned out to be his fourth and final run on the show.

“The Amazing Race” is finally returning to the CBS line-up with the 31st season set to premiere on May 22, 2019. This edition of the race was run way back in June. It is looking more and more likely that “The Amazing Race” won’t return to the CBS line-up until the spring of 2019. “Tar” wasn’t on the fall schedule and the Tiffany network has done well with all of its new hour-long shows. With none of those looking like candidates for early cancellation, there is no time slot open for “The Amazing Race” until they finish their first seasons. This means the likeliest air date for season 31 of this Emmy-winning reality competition series is in the spring of 2019.

Happy Wednesday fellow Big Brother fans. We were able to find some additional news for the upcoming Amazing Race season 31 Big Brother edition that we previously reported on. First of all, a few weeks back, TMZ was reporting that it was an all-Big Brother Amazing Race season. The the folks over at Realityblurred.com said that was not the case, and that it would include former Amazing Race contestants as well. Well, it turns out they were both wrong. However, Realityblurred was more correct than TMZ because the new season 31 will also include former "Survivor" reality show contestants to go along with the former Big Brother and Amazing Race people ! We've also learned who the official teams are. The folks over at goldderby.com are reporting that Amazing Race season 31 officially started filming this past Sunday, June 11, 2018 with a total of 11 teams. Only three of them turned out to be Big Brother teams.

Every season, someone emerges as a Survivor fan favorite.
Back in 2000, people actually wrote songs about Survivor's first sweetheart, the quirky and cute Colleen Haskell. Haskell parlayed that fame into a leading role in a Rob Schneider movie before vanishing from public life. (Speaking of Colleen, does anyone know where she is these days? Asking for a friend.)
We've seen other favorites come and go: Rupert, Russell, Cirie, Joe. CBS knows how to promote these fan favorites – casting them on subsequent seasons, booking them on soap operas and even having them compete on The Price Is Right.
But this is a first.

The cast of “American Psycho” visited Stephen Colbert’s late night studio on April 2, ahead of their April 21 opening at the Schoenfeld Theatre. Previews began March 24. Starring Benjamin Walker as Patrick Bateman, Alice Ripley, Heléne Yorke, Drew Moerlein, and others, the production features music and lyrics from Duncan Sheik (“Spring Awakening”) with the book written by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. Rupert Goold directs the West End transfer that received raves before heading over the pond. “There are a lot of serious ideas within this book that I wanted to make sure our show is exploring,” Sheik told Backstage about the show in March. “That’s why I was really excited to have Rupert come on as the director.... I knew he would respect the fact that this wasn’t an exercise in camp but something that could be funny, entertaining, and incredibly thought-provoking that also delves into the psychology of these people...

There are a lot of similarities between Survivor and politics. The scheming. The backstabbing. The alliances.
So it's only natural that some contestants have entered the cutthroat world of politics after their seasons were over. Rupert Boneham was the 2012 Libertarian candidate for Indiana governor. In 2001, Mike Skupin considered a run for U.S. Senate. Jolanda Jones, the first contestant voted off of Survivor: Palau was a Houston city councilwoman.
Now another contestant is throwing her hat into the ring: Laura Morett, who competed in Survivor: Samoa and Survivor: Blood vs. Water, has announced that she is running for a seat...

Rather than selecting returning players unilaterally and listening to fans complain about the latest return for Rupert or a confusing return for a castaway even superfans don't remember, "Survivor" has left the decision somewhat up to America to determine the 20 castaways for Season 31. On Wednesday (May 6) at the end of the latest episode of the less-than-lackluster "Survivor: Worlds Apart," CBS formally announced what had long been rumored across the Interwebs. There are 32 candidates up for the "Second Chance" season. As the word "second" implies, this season will only be open to one-time former players who didn't win, so all of your Hantzes and Ruperts are out. Thank God. Instead, this group of 32 includes contestants going back to original "Survivor: Borneo" runner-up Kelly Wigglesworth. And then there are five candidates from the current season, including two who haven't been eliminated yet, which is either an annoying spoiler or not, but I'm...

The results of a CBS.com poll of "Survivor" fans are now on newsstands, as part of a special commemorative issue of CBS Watch! magazine. The 100-page, full-color magazine is a pretty great overview of the series, except for the absolute wrongness of its polls. That's especially true for its "all time best seasons" poll. Yes, ranking "Survivor" seasons is about as difficult as stacking cooked spaghetti noodles, and about as useful. It's mostly good for creating disagreement. What one viewer values, another dismisses--but that's one of the many reasons why the series has survived for 30 seasons. There's a lot to argue about. Even looking at objective data about Survivor winners and cast members can prompt discussion. So, here are the results of CBS' poll, and one fan's thoughts and arguments about why the other fans' collective wisdom often seems screwed up. #1: Survivor Heroes vs. Villains, season 20, 2010 Why this...

Woo Hwang chose to go head to head against Tony Vlachos in the final showdown and lost, making Tony the Sole Survivor and winner of Survivor: Cagayan.
Kass And Woo Win Last Two Immunity Challenges
Woo reached the end of Survivor: Cagayan and had the opportunity to choose who he would take with him to the two-person finals. He could have picked Kass, a choice many believe would have guaranteed a win, but instead, his integrity lead him to pick Tony.
I'm exhausted. I'm relieved. I'm sad the season's over and happy to find closure. Thank You to everyone who has shown support #Survivor

But first, the contestants went through their first immunity challenge in front of their family/loved ones who had been flown out to visit for the finale. Kass wins the challenge, and Spencer is sent home during the Tribal Council.

Pretty, mean girl Morgan McLeod was eliminated at Tribal Council and Spencer Bledsoe won immunity in episode 7 of Survivor: Cagayan.
After Tribal Council, Kass McQuillen returns to camp with Spencer, who criticizes her move at Tribal Council, which sent Sarah Lacina out of the competition. Kass thinks her strategy is sound and declares herself a free agent. The next morning, Kass is confronted with a new source of conflict: Morgan. Kass is frustrated with Morgan because she won’t help around the Solarrion camp, although, Morgan tells us, “She is a bitter, ugly, old lady. And I think she hates me because I’m cuter than her and have always been cuter than her.”

Jeff Probst knew that the introduction of the Redemption Island twist would be controversial when it was unveiled in season 22 (also not so coincidentally called Redemption Island) of the longtime CBS reality hit. Many fans were upset with another similar twist during the Pearl Islands season called “the Outcasts” that allowed players that were voted out a chance to reenter the game. Even Probst himself was not a fan of that twist.
But Redemption Island was different. For one thing, everyone would be told up front it was happening. For another, voted out players would have to stay out in...

It's getting personal on season 27 of CBS' Survivor. This time around returning players will be pitted against their loved ones. Survivor's ratings have been declining over the past few years. Will this new twist cause the ratings to rise or will they fall? Time will tell.
Host Jeff Probst is back, as are 10 past contestants -- Aras Baskauskas, Candice Cody, Colton Cumbie, Gervase Peterson, Kat Edorsson, Laura Morett, Monica Culpepper, Rupert Boneham, Tina Wesson, and Tyson Apostol.
The higher a show's ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better its chances for survival. New ratings data will be added as it becomes available -- typically around 11:30am Est/8:30am Pst. Refresh to see the latest.

“It’s My Night”
Airs Wednesday at 8pm (Et) on CBS
The challenge when analyzing Survivor is finding thrills when the finale reaches a predictable ending. This trend has happened frequently in recent seasons, with Malcolm’s exit from the Philippines being a rare exception. Even so, there’s still plenty to enjoy with Blood vs. Water’s conclusion. Tyson removes any doubts about a victory by taking the final two immunity challenges and choosing the right people. Underdogs like Ciera and Tina are too dangerous to face with this jury. Despite the editing focusing on Monica, she earns just one vote, and the rest go to Tyson. It’s hard to disagree with rewarding a guy who found two idols, built a solid alliance, and dodged stiff challenges from Hayden and Ciera. He’s come a long way from the goofball of the Tocantins or...

Monica Culpepper stuck by her "Survivor: Blood vs. Water" alliance and went all the way to the Final 3, where she finished second to Tyson Apostol. She tells Zap2it that
Zap2it: Are you glad you went back on "Survivor"? What was different for you this time around?
Monica Culpepper: Absolutely I was glad to go back. What was different was I got to bring Brad with me and that was just awesome ... Rupert and Brad seemed to be the only two out there who put their loved one's needs in front of theirs. They came out there wanting to get some Redemption. I didn't really get a chance to play the game when I was blindsided by Colton on 'One World.' And I got it this time, the whole kit and caboodle.

I hate calling Survivor: Blood Vs. Water an “emotional season” since that was, y’know, precisely the point. When family members and loved ones are pitted against each other on an island ruled by a crazed Eddie Bauer shift manager named Jeff Probst, tears will be shed. Rupert Boneham will monologue about loving his wife more than he loves Survivor. John will weep when he decides not to take Candice‘s place on Redemption Island. Ciera will quiver and cry when mentoring her mother to her own demise. Monica Culpepper will liberate herself from her brickbrained husband and announce she is doing this “for Monica!”, as if “Monica” is a Make A Wish child she once met. These were all preordained Hallmark moments.
But I wasn’t quite prepared to sympathize so much with the season’s winner, who not only deserved the million dollars but established some humanity that I happily fell for.

"Survivor: Blood vs. Water" had a crazy thing happen last episode -- the Tribal Council, fueled by Hayden's last-ditch effort to sway Ciera's vote and save himself, went all the way to a drawing of rocks after two tie votes. It was only the second time that has ever happened in "Survivor" history and it sent Katie to Redemption Island.
