Allison Austin
- Actress
- Producer
- Writer
A performing artist at heart, Allison is often referred to as a one take wonder on a set.
As a child, with a natural gift for dance, she showcased her talent by putting on elaborate theatrical shows for her family.
Inspired by her mother, a professional touring Opera Singer with The Robert Shaw Chorale, and having listened to stories about her cousins, The Blossom Sisters (Bob Hope USO tours) Allison found her passion for theater at age 11 during summer workshops at The Marcia P. Hoffman School of the Arts at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Florida.
She pursued her passion and earned a B.F.A from UC Santa Cruz. Following graduation, she moved to Los Angeles. Allison became a children's entertainer/party planner and her first client was Steven Spielberg. This serendipitous experience served as a poignant lesson in humility, which has shaped her approach to all her interactions in business.
She then found her support system of fellow creatives and immersed herself in acting and producing. Allison also made her mark in the music industry, managing artists and launching successful music projects.
Some of her career highlights include directing, "The Rocky Horror Show" for stage in Hollywood and appearing in films such as, "Charlie Wilson's War" (Dir. Mike Nichols) and "Let's Dream" (Dir.Eric Gorlow). With a vast network and two decades of experience in entertainment, she is focused on finding fulfilling acting roles and working on several projects in development.
Allison lives in Los Angeles and loves spending time with her kids and pets. She is focused on health, creativity and her close friendships. Allison is the founder of an ongoing music podcast, Musician Shift and continues to practice her acting craft daily.
