Francesco Le Metre is a composer based in Los Angeles, California. Born and raised in Italy, he studied music at an early age. Learning different instruments (piano, drums and bass), he developed a music versatility that eventually led him into composing music.
Since moving to Los Angeles, Le Metre has collaborated with composers such as Dustin O'Halloran, Volker Bertelmann and Rob Simonsen. He has written additional music on a number of films and TV projects, including Garth Davis' critically acclaimed "Lion" (2016), George Tillman Jr.'s " The Hate U Give" (2018) and Greg Berlanti's "Love Simon" (2018). Collaborative efforts include working with Volker Bertelmann on the score for "Adrift" and lately he teamed up with Dustin O'Halloran to score the ABC Legal Drama Series "For Life."
Francesco Le Metre's 2020 score for the Netflix Original Documentary "Disclosure" (directed by Sam Feder); a critically acclaimed documentary about Hollywood's depiction of transgender people, garnered rave reviews and positioned him as one of the most promising composers of his generation.
Le Metre released his first solo album, "Abroad", in spring 2020. A year later he is now releasing new music after spending a year in Italy where he took his time to explore new ways to express himself musically.
