Jenny's stockings variously disappear and reappear with no continuity. It seems earlier scenes with her wearing them are intermingled with later scenes where she doesn't wear them.
Following the nude swimming scene, the girl is shown putting her clothes back on. She puts her shirt back on, skipping her bra entirely. However, in the very next scene, you may notice she has a bra on under her shirt. It is unclear, however, if these three scenes are meant to take place on the same day and in chronological order, as the length of time that the kids are lost in the Australian desert is never so much as implied throughout the entirety of the film.
When the three of them arrive at the wall where the Aboriginal boy is apparently painting, the girls shoes are suddenly gray. They are black through the rest of the film.
The credits name the actor playing "Black Boy" as David Gumpilil. It should be David Gulpilil.
When the children are at the oasis (the tree with the little pond) and Peter is sitting in the water, just as he asks "Are we superheroes?" a crew member can be seen moving something (possibly a microphone) at the bottom left of the screen.
Contrary to the stocking explanation,Jenny's character would easily have decided whether she would want to wear her stockings or not throughout the movie depending on the heat.
The girl asks to be taken to the city of Adelaide, the children's destination in the novel. However, the city shown at the start and end of the film is clearly Sydney, which is several thousand kilometers (and two states) away from Adelaide.
