Marie's father, played by Mark Ruffalo, appears much older when Marie is a little girl than he does later when she is a young woman. Perhaps this is due to the close-up photography used in the earlier scenes.
The radios used by both sides turn on instantly. While that's true today with solid state electronics, in the 1940s radios had vacuum tubes which required perhaps 10-30 seconds to warm up. The movie makers probably decided to ignore that fact to keep the movie moving rather than have the actors standing around waiting.
The radio receiver used by the Nazis has KHz printed on the dial. While the US at that time used KC for Kilocycles, Germany used KHz for Kilohertz at that time.
