Cookies

When you enter our website imy.se, no cookies are set. However, cookies are set if you use the e-service to report a personal data breach or make your own settings in our listening function.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that are placed on your device by websites that you visit.

There are different types of web cookies. Session cookies expire after leaving the web browser, while persistent cookies stay on the user’s browser until an expiration date.

Listen function

If you choose to have a page read out using the listening function, a cookie is set that disappears when you close the browser. If you make your own settings in the player, a cookie is set that is saved in the browser for about four days. You can block cookies completely in your browser and still use the listening function.

Domain: imy.se

An initiation cookie that determines whether or not to load the scripts on page load. This cookie has the name "_rspkrLoadCore" and is a session-only cookie. The cookie is set after the service has been activated, ie when you have interacted with the player.

The use of this cookie is so that we know that the user has activated the service on a page. This way we'll automatically load in the ReadSpeaker scripts when the user navigates to a different page, so that the user will get audio quicker.

A cookie that is set if you change a setting in the settings menu. The cookie has a default lifetime of about 4 days. The use of this cookie is so that the users individual settings are saved, so that they do not have to re-do their settings on every page they navigate to.

If you refuse cookies in your browser, the player will not remember your settings, but you have to redo them for each page you want read.

E-services

Our e-services use these cookies:

Domain: e-tjanster.imy.se

This is a session cookie that contains a session id and is required by the web server to handle the forms the e-service is using. The cookie does not store any personal information and it is not used to record which sites you visit. The cookie is automatically deleted when you close your web browser.

Domain: e-tjanster.imy.se

This is a session cookie that is used for security. It is designed to stop unauthorised posting of content to a website, known as Cross-Site Request Forgery. It holds no information about the user and is automatically deleted when you close your web browser.

Domain: e-tjanster.imy.se

This is a persistent cookie that is set when you click “Accept” in the cookie banner. This cookie is used to remember that you have accepted cookies. The cookie banner will not be shown again if you visit the e-service again within a year. This cookie is saved for one year in your web browser after you accepted cookies.

Domain: e-tjanster.imy.se

This is a persistent cookie that saves a number for the tab in the web browser that the form is using. Our e-service only uses one tab, and saves the number 1 for that tab. The cookie is saved for two days.

If you do not wish to accept cookies, your web browser can be set to automatically deny the storage of cookies or to inform you each time a website requests permission to store a cookie. Previously stored cookies can also be deleted via the web browser. Our e-services do not work if you deny the storage of cookies in your web browser. Please fill in a form and send in your notification by post instead.
