K-LOVE Fan Awards: Male Artist of the Year

The starting lineup for the 2024 Male Artist of the Year bracket features a familiar roster of well-loved men. It’s a crew made up of devoted husbands, fathers and creatives deeply committed to their craft and their faith. Of the eight nominees, Chris Tomlin leads this category with three consecutive wins from 2013-2015. Meanwhile, Brandon Lake, Matthew West and TobyMac have each taken home one Male Artist trophy. Although all previously nominated, Crowder, Jeremy Camp, Phil Wickham and Tauren Wells have never won this particular category. This could be their year. It’s the fans’ call.

Hosted by Brandon Lake and Sadie Robertson Huff, the 11th annual K-LOVE Fan Awards will air exclusively on TBN Friday, May 31, 2024, at 7 p.m. CT / 8 p.m. ET.

Brandon Lake

Brandon Lake

Fans named Brandon Lake their Male Artist of the Year in 2023. They’ll choose whether or not he maintains that title when they cast their votes. Regardless of how the “Gratitude” singer fairs in this bracket, he tops the leaderboard of nominees heading into the 11th installment of the K-LOVE Fan Awards, which he’ll host for the first time alongside Podcast Impact contender Sadie Robertson Huff.

Chris Tomlin

Chris Tomlin

It’s been two decades since Chris Tomlin brought us “How Great Is Our God,” and the father of three is still churning out songs audiences love to sing around the globe, as evidenced by his pair of nominations ahead of the 2024 K-LOVE Fan Awards. In addition to another Male Artist nod, Tomlin’s “Holy Forever” is also up for Song of the Year. The renowned worship leader is currently headlining a world tour with direct support from CAIN, Tauren Wells and Pat Barrett in select cities.

Crowder

Crowder

Crowder returns to the Male Artist of the Year category ahead of his brand new studio effort, “The Exile,” slated to drop the same day the 2024 K-LOVE Fan Awards air on TBN — May 31, 2024. Fresh off Winter Jam ’24, the charismatic contender recently topped the charts with fiery single “Grave Robber.” Up next, the “Good God Almighty” hitmaker is set to join Air1’s multi-artist “Worship Now Tour,” as well as MercyMe’s “Together Again…Again Tour.” Both outings launch this fall.

Jeremy Camp

Jeremy Camp

Hot on the heels of the release of his new album, “Deeper Waters” (arriving May 17), Jeremy Camp will vie for Male Artist of the Year. The “These Days” singer will headline a fall tour in support of his freshly minted project. A consistent fan favorite, Camp will also perform at the beloved Songwriters Showcase as part of this year’s K-LOVE Fan Awards Weekend leading up to Sunday’s star-studded ceremony where fan-voted winners in all categories, including this one, will be announced.

Matthew West

Matthew West

A very surprised and emotional Matthew West picked up an unexpected win in 2022 for Male Artist of the Year — his second K-LOVE Fan Award following a 2016 trophy for the now retired category of Best Lyric. An endless treasure trove of talent, the former K-LOVE Fan Awards host resumes his place in a category of equally deserving honorees this year and also finds his name listed among those recognized in two other top brackets, including Artist of the Year and Song of the Year for “Don’t Stop Praying.”

Phil Wickham

Phil Wickham

Phil Wickham’s recent track record of No. 1 hits is propelling his nod for Male Artist of the Year — one of three 2024 nominations that also include Artist of the Year and Worship Song of the Year for “I Believe.” Wickham’s star has only continued to rise with the droves of people coming to see him in concert, where they undoubtedly discover the K-LOVE Fan Award winner to be not only a gifted songwriter, but also a lively entertainer.

Tauren Wells

Tauren Wells

Previous K-LOVE Fan Awards co-host Tauren Wells is no stranger to the Male Artist of the Year category, although he’s never walked away a winner. Alongside friends Davies and We The Kingdom, Wells is running his current single, “Take It All Back,” up the charts. Meanwhile, the soulful vocalist and his wife, Lorna, just planted a church in Austin, Texas. He’s set to deliver a hope-filled message at Sunday Morning Worship as part of this year’s K-LOVE Fan Awards Weekend in advance of the 11th annual awards ceremony.

TobyMac

TobyMac

TobyMac was named Male Artist of the Year in 2018. And when the seasoned artist brings his hits to the K-LOVE Fan Awards stage, it’s easy to see why. Performing songs like “I just need U.” “Help Is On The Way (Maybe Midnight),” and “Promised Land,” among others, in years past, K-LOVE Fan Awards attendees have gotten to experience the consummate entertainer in his element. He’ll reprise last year’s Christian music super-tour when he joins fellow 2024 K-LOVE Fan Award nominees MercyMe and Zach Williams out on the road this fall.
