Arizona advances to Pac-12 title game with win over Stanford

Arizona baseball beat Stanford to advance to the Pac-12 championship game while Arizona softball lost to Oklahoma State in the Stillwater Super Regional.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (13 News) - Arizona beat Stanford 6-3 Friday night in the semifinals of the Pac-12 baseball tournament.

The top-seeded Wildcats will face No. 4 Southern Cal in the conference title game Saturday night. First pitch is set for 7 p.m. and the game will be on the Pac-12 Networks.

Maddox Mihalakis went 2-for-4 with two runs for Arizona while teammate Brendan Summerhill had a three-run homer.

A win on Saturday and Arizona is all but guaranteed a chance to host a regional.

The NCAA tournament pairings will be announced on Monday, May 27. The selection show is set for 10 a.m. on ESPN2.
