Our Conversation with Legendary Mariners Broadcaster Rick Rizzs

Rick Rizzs' voice has provided the soundtrack to many of the biggest moments in the history of the Seattle Mariners. He paints a picture of the action on the field for fans listening to games on the radio across the Northwest and beyond. Now entering his 38th season with the M's, Rizzs is the longest-tenured broadcaster in club history, surpassing his friend and mentor, the late Dave Niehaus.

Gaard Swanson got the chance to sit down with Rizzs inside Steelheads Alley, the on-site brewery for Hatback Bar and Grille. Located directly across the street from T-Mobile Park, Hatback offers a menu of elevated game day favorites from burgers and pizza to fresh seafood. It proved to be the perfect setting for a conversation about the Mariners and a nostalgic walk down memory lane.
