"Boomerang” employees are a great gateway to bring back familiar faces with new experiences, energy, and perspectives to share! We have been fortunate to welcome back some fantastic Dataprise alumni who have a newfound appreciation for being a part our team. Meet Chris who recently rejoined Dataprise. Read on to learn about how their career journey led them back to Dataprise. #datapriseboomerang Previous Position: Network Consultant | New Position Since Rejoining Dataprise: Supervisor, Network Operations Center What made you decide to return to Dataprise? I originally left the Dataprise NOC to pursue a management role at a smaller MSP. This never came to fruition, and I was not happy with the type of work I was saddled with. I kept in touch with a couple people from Dataprise and decided to reach out and the stars aligned. I was able to rejoin the NOC team in a leadership role that better fits my career path! What are you enjoying most since you’ve returned? I enjoy the new responsibilities that come with the supervisory role, along with being able to affect change and help the team grow. It is also good to reconnect with past coworkers and learn about new team members. What do you think sets Dataprise apart from other companies you have worked for? I believe Dataprise has a good set of core values and actually sticks to them. Beyond that, the people make the job enjoyable. Is there any advice you would give others who may be thinking about rejoining a previous employer? Obviously do not burn bridges on your way out, you never know if you will be in a position to return. Also be sure returning to a previous employer is in your best interests since you previously left of your own volitions.

We are so #proud of the commitment to philanthropy and community involvement our ERG member show year-round! As we round out Pride month, we learn about another amazing organization offering support and resources in the DC area: I’ve selected SMYAL (Supporting and Mentoring Youth Advocates and Leaders), a local DC area nonprofit that recently celebrated their 40th Anniversary. SMYAL is dedicated to empowering LGBTQ+ youth in the Washington, D.C. area. They offer a range of programs including leadership development, mental health services, and transitional housing. SMYAL also organizes events like the annual Fall Brunch and provides resources for youth and adults to engage with and support the LGBTQ+ community. Their initiatives aim to build self-confidence, life skills, and community engagement among LGBTQ+ youth (https://bit.ly/45CqkGQ). #DataprisePROUD #PRIDE #HappyPRIDE #DiversityEquityInclusion
