Driven by the technological transition to advanced nodes required by #ArtificialIntelligence, the #electronics market continued to stepwise recover in Q2 2024. We delivered strong organic sales growth in Q2 2024 fueled by the inflection in logic chips. Semiconductor Solutions, accounting for 69 % of our sales, grew by 11.4% organically, mainly driven by Semiconductor Materials. Display Solutions (20% share in sales) declined 2.4% organically. Volume growth in LC and OLED was offset by price erosion for liquid crystals due to continued competitive pressure. Surface Solutions (11% share in sales) registered a plus of 4.1% in sales (organic), due to growth across most business lines in Asia-Pacific as well as in Latin America and North America. We increased our sales guidance for 2024 to 4-8% growth, based on our strong performance in H1 2024 and positive market signals for the second half of the year, namely chip inventories continuing to go down, chip prices improving and customers preparing to increase fab utilization. Excluding one-time effects in the year-earlier quarter, EBITDA pre would also have grown organically. We delivered strong organic sales growth in Q1 2024 while sustaining strong investment spend in areas that matter to our customers, such as R&D. Our EBITDA pre margin improved sequentially – a step in the right direction. Driven by increasing demand for #ArtificialIntelligence and high-performance computing, the #electronics market is gradually recovering. Our technology leadership in key high-value materials such as thin films is helping our customers transition to new nodes. The wider electronics and #semiconductor market is set to further recover with inventories normalizing, demand stabilizing and fab utilization improving. Semiconductor Solutions, accounting for 68 % of our sales, grew across most business lines thanks to our comprehensive portfolio and the strong project business in Delivery Systems & Services (DS&S). Display Solutions (20% share in sales) saw a strong OLED business and a stable performance from Liquid Crystals. In Surface Solutions (12 %), our Cosmetics business continued to be strong while the Coatings business also recovered.
