Thanks, Srikant Sastri Sir, for visiting us and for your kind words. It's a pleasure to have hosted you and showcased our mapping and data acquisition infrastructure, map offerings, and the latest 3D mapping initiatives. Your vision and thoughts about national urban 3D Digital Twin program inspire us! The National Geospatial Policy 2022 and the Union Budget 2024 have created an excellent environment for innovation and growth in the geospatial sector. Your leadership at the Geospatial Data Promotion and Development Committee (GDPDC) is crucial in driving this vision forward. We're excited about the future and committed to India's geospatial growth. We look forward to collaborating and making great progress together. #GeospatialPolicy #Innovation #Mapping #GDPDC #Genesys #DigitalTwin #Maps

While in Mumbai this weekend, I also squeezed in a quick visit to meet Sajid Malik and his leadership team at Genesys International Corporation Ltd I am glad I did! I got a glimpse of their impressive mapping & data acquisition infrastructure (aircrafts, vans, back-packing individuals). More importantly, the ambitious work Genesys is doing with 3D Mapping. It needs courage to make upfront investments in building a 3D platform. With the hope that it can be monetised later. Through applications for telcos (e.g. line of sight analysis), utilities (estimating solar roof capacity), flooding risk analysis (Pune city) While ‘services’ revenues through projects will continue to be important, I really hope that Indian players like Genesys build platforms & products that can scale up to make them global champions In all my meetings so far, it’s great to see the optimism & dynamism that’s coming alive after the National Geospatial Policy. I sincerely hope that the collective efforts of the Geospatial Data Promotion & Devt Committee (GDPDC) and industry players, we are able to make India a global leader in the decades to come P.S: the ceiling you see in this pic has a map of Mumbai on a single-piece flex sheet that’s stretched across the length & breadth of the Genesys office India DST Geospatial World Abhay Karandikar Hitesh Kumar Makwana #geospatial #surveyofindia #dst #policy
