I used to take prospects to get their nails done at Microsoft. My counterparts took prospects golfing, so why the heck not? The reality is, sales is becoming more of a relationship-driven endeavor. Get to know your prospects - Meet them where they are. Are they active? 🚶♀️ Go for a walking meeting. Are they a comedy lover? 😂 Take them to a stand-up set. Are they a wine enthusiast? 🍷 Take them to a wine tasting. At the very least you'll get good exercise, a good laugh, or a good glass of wine. Ideally, you'll build a great, memorable relationship. Future business is cool, too, I guess. Many of my clients from Microsoft/Salesforce days became friends, mentors, and even Zinnia subscribers. Y'all rock. Do you take walking meetings? Would you get your nails done with a prospect? Do you make friends out of your clients?
