👏 TEN 👏YEARS 👏 This month, we would like to introduce you to James! James has worked at Hammonds for 10 years! Have you been in the same role during your time at Hammonds? Hammonds has been quite a journey for me. I started back in September of 2013. My first role consisted of scanning in good stock, I did this role for around 12 months. I then progressed to becoming a packing operative and in the year or so doing this role, learnt a hell of a lot. Following this, the position of Cell 5 packing Team leader came up, and I applied and was successful, I was in this position for approximately 5 years. I was then offered the position of production manager! To this day I am still doing this role and am constantly learning and developing. I am now completing my ILM level 5 course in operations and departmental management and hope to continue to progress within this business. Why did you choose Hammonds? Initially, Hammonds hours of work, and location made it a great choice for me. I have been given the room to develop and Hammonds has invested in me, which is a major factor in me continuing to choose Hammonds. What do you enjoy the most about working at Hammonds? I enjoy my role, constantly problem solving, trying to improve things, and thinking on my feet. The hours are still a huge pro for me and work really well to create a good work life balance. At Hammonds we love to celebrate and promote the work of people. 👏🌟 This week we would like to introduce you to Katie, Katie has only been with Hammonds for around 8 months. However, in those 8 short months Katie has made an outstanding impact by successfully helping transform the production facility into a much more manageable and efficient operation. Her willingness to learn, and hard work have greatly contributed to the positive changes seen in the facility. This makes her a valuable asset to the team! Have you been in the same role during your time at Hammonds? Yes, since I started in August 2023, I have been evolving my job role with the management team to ensure I can deliver all the information needed on a daily basis and ensure the smooth running of the production operation. Why did you choose Hammonds? I was recommended by a relative to apply for the position, the role attracted me because it was something that I can use my skill set to my advantage, as well experience a fast paced and very structured work environment. What do you enjoy most about working for Hammonds? The people are a big factor in my enjoyment from my Job. I am able to be myself, have a laugh with everybody, as the people here are fantastic! I take great pleasure in being able to assist the production team with all of their duties and am always learning as I grow more and more into my role.
