This summer, two groups of High Steel coworkers toured the Hawk Falls Bridge Replacement jobsite located on the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission's Northeastern Extension. The visitors saw the bridge's massive 480' box girder arch span from several vantage points above the scenic Hickory Run State Park. Our host, PJ Dick - Trumbull - Lindy continues steel erection work with the floor system beginning to take shape. This is a great showing of the positive movement happening toward the permanent replacement of this vital part of our nation's infrastructure. The domestic steel mills and fabricator members of AISC/NSBA are ready, willing and able to support this essential recovery effort with more than enough capacity to support a quick turn. LET'S GET TO IT!
Secretary Paul Wiedefeld and Deputy Secretary Samantha Biddle met with Speaker Emerita, Rep. Nancy Pelosi and Lt. Gov. Aruna Miller this week to discuss the rebuild and recovery efforts surrounding the Key Bridge.

On Tuesday 5/21/24 Milton Hershey School welding students visited High Steel Structures for a tour of our Lancaster fabrication facilities. Each student had the opportunity to weld an "h" in the HSU lab and participated in a Bridge Basics presentation. Thank you to all of our coworkers who helped to make the tour a success!
