Today we celebrate Women's Equality Day! August 26 marks the enactment of the 19th Amendment, which grants women the right to vote and reminds us of the courageous work and many achievements of the women in our community and beyond. We'd like to recognize and thank all of the inspiring women who have made an impact here at Kitsap Credit Union and throughout our history. We couldn't do what do without their amazing work. They remind us that together it's possible!

This National Nonprofit Day, we want to recognize the incredible things that can happen when we work together. Kitsap Credit Union and the KCUCares Foundation have been fortunate to partner with over 100 local non-profits throughout our 90 years of service, working to meet the needs of our community. We are grateful to all of our partner organizations for all they do to feed families year-round, provide safe and stable housing, and meet the needs of our neighbors so they can thrive. We look forward to many more years of partnership. Thank you for all you do!

Kitsap Credit Union is excited to be a part of Kitsap County Rodeo/Stampede's Tough Enough to Wear Pink night supporting breast cancer awareness. Join us on Friday, August 23 at 6:30pm at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds Thunderbird Stadium and bring your favorite pink get-up. The first 2000 attendees through the rodeo gate will receive limited-edition bandanas. Plus, the first 300 kids through the rodeo gates will receive a bookmark with a commemorative coin and a special Youth Account offer. Get your tickets today at https://lnkd.in/gNZnZJzf. Curious about the history of Tough Enough to Wear Pink night? The Tough Enough to Wear Pink campaign was first introduced at the 2004 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo when breast cancer survivor, Terry Wheatley asked her son, team roper Wade Wheatley, to wear a pink shirt at one performance. Wade convinced his fellow contestants to join him, so Wrangler Jeans and Shirts quickly produced enough pink shirts for every NFR contestant. To encourage the contestants to support the campaign, the committees gave $100 to a contestant that won his/her event if they were wearing a pink shirt. The campaign took off from there and fans as well started wearing pink shirts on the designated “Tough Enough to Wear Pink” night. Federally insured by NCUA
