Redmond is excited to participate in Habitat for Humanity Chicago’s 12th Annual Women Build, and we need your support! Redmond’s very own Brenda Delgado, Sydney Parra, and Isabella Pennebaker will be participating in this year’s event, which aims to help women homebuyers overcome gendered barriers to homeownership. In addition to providing hands-on support building homes in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood this October, we are raising funds to support Habitat for Humanity in its efforts to raise $750,000. We’re excited to introduce our new Q&A series where we go behind the scenes with our project teams and dive deeper into their recent work. In our first feature, Senior Superintendent Anthony Urso shares insights on law firm office build outs, highlighting the unique challenges that come with them. Q: “How do the challenges of law office buildouts differ from those of other types of projects?” A: “Noise reduction is so much more vital to law firms because of client confidentiality. To ensure a nondisruptive office environment and prioritize privacy, our team has to achieve the right Sound Transmission Class (STC) rating while also staying on budget. Some ways we do this include lining ductwork and equipment, or offsetting sound transfer ducts. Additional considerations include using heavier drywall or specialty sound-deadening products, particularly at window mullions, which are common areas for sound transfer.” -Tony Urso Stay tuned for more behind-the-scenes stories from our amazing team!

Exciting news! Redmond has officially kicked off its first project with the University of Oklahoma. The 20,000 SF oncology lab at the University's Biomedical Sciences Building is a complete upgrade to the 7th floor. Our scope includes the replacement of outdated casework, cold rooms, and fume hoods with new mobile workstations, updated fume hoods, and bio-safety cabinets. The reimagined lab space will be opened up to include tissue and cryo rooms along with an upgrade to the air handling unit serving the floor. Additionally, the space will include new faculty offices, dedicated student seating, and conference rooms to support current and future research needs. This project marks an exciting expansion of Redmond’s science & technology portfolio beyond the Chicago and Denver markets🙌 Bradley Malouf | Brian Sanders | Stephen Santay | Sydney Parra | Mike Caveney | Frank Floss | REES
