Hello! We are Meanwhile. Since 2008, our team has been designing, delivering and managing excellent living schemes with one aim in mind: to provide buildings that make life better and easier. What started with student accommodation at Scape expanded to encompass a new model for urban living with Morro, and now we’re looking at our next chapter. After delivering close to 5,000 beds in design-led city dwellings across the UK and the USA, our founders are launching Meanwhile, a global, fully integrated platform under which our two market-leading brands will now sit. Our founders are bringing their years of experience and numerous interests to Meanwhile so we can continue to deliver homes that are a joy to live in, generate exceptional value and deliver long-term growth. Our brands will continue to be run by the Meanwhile Group and a team of highly experienced sector experts who share our same entrepreneurial spirit. We are thrilled to announce that resolution to grant planning was unanimously agreed for Canada Water by the Southwark Council Committee on 12th June 2024. This milestone marks another step forward in our long-term investment and regeneration in the area. Southwark’s officers have described the building as “exemplary, with commendable communal amenities and accommodation,” and we couldn't agree more. This project will create a landmark on Printworks Street, seamlessly connecting with the broader Canada Water Masterplan. Designed by Stephen Marshall Architects, the project will deliver: ➡️ 135 co-living rooms ➡️ Ground, first floor, and rooftop amenities for residents ➡️ A publicly accessible ground and first-floor co-working café on the corner of Mulberry Walk ➡️ Significant landscaping, including a pocket park and tree planting along Printworks Street We are proud to contribute to the vibrant and growing community at Canada Water. We’re thrilled to be partnering with Investec for business (UK) again who have a fantastic record of consistently delivering funding for Scape Group. This development marks an exciting milestone for us - this will be our first Morro building to open in central London. It will be following The Guild in Guildford and The Bon in Boston, USA which both leased up in record time. Hawkins\Brown’s designs for #HackneyWick and Fish Island’s first Shared Living scheme have been approved at LLDC Planning Committee. ✅ 34-38 Wallis Road will provide 212 shared living homes and 1400sqm of #workspace, with exemplary shared amenities at the heart of the design, helping to enhance the resident’s sense of community within their home.   Hawkins\Brown have been at the forefront of shared living design over the last decade and we were major contributors to the recently published Greater London Authority Shared Living Guidance. As a result of working with our client Scape and the London Legacy Development Corporation, we are confident that Wallis Road will set a new standard for shared living accommodation. #Housing #Workspace #Architecture #Regeneration #MixedUse #NewBuild #Residential #EastLondon

Delivering best practice, iterative improvements and new technologies across Scape’s digital ecosystem since 2021. Scape is a fast-moving business that designs and manages rental accommodation for living and learning across the UK, US and Australia. From making the Scape UK site more robust in the face of high-traffic periods, to rationalising the user experience for Morro (previously Scape Living) which brings The Bon and The Guild together under one roof, we harness our deep knowledge of Scape to continuously create stronger connections between Scape’s websites and their property management systems. We are delighted to watch Scape grow and help them deliver high-impact digital experiences as they expand their projects across the UK and worldwide. Our Merrion Street scheme for Scape certainly has the 'wow' factor!
