Job sites can be unpredictable, but STRUCTURAL is equipped to tackle any challenge. When a below-grade parking structure showed signs of capacity loss and raised safety concerns, the existing post-tensioning system was inspected. Turns out, the number of broken button-head tendons more than doubled what was originally projected. Discover how STRUCTURAL efficiently addressed these unforeseen repairs with limited cost and schedule impact. https://lnkd.in/eNCM_AEB

STRUCTURAL makes all kinds of structures stronger and last longer, but many don’t realize that some of these structures are right beneath our feet! Our Underground Team performs strengthening work on many critical pieces of infrastructure around the country, so to help shine a light on the great work this team does, our Summer Interns visited a local project that the BW Branch is performing for the US Army Corps of Engineers - The National Aqueduct Repair Project in Potomac, MD. On this project, the STRUCTURAL team is performing Carbon Fiber Strengthening and Shotcrete Installation to extend the life of this >150- year-old, 9’ diameter pipeline made of brick, stone, and mortar. Many of our interns have spent part of their summer working hands on with the crew of this project, so it was great for the rest to get in on the action too! Big thanks to Greg Jellick Alex Yee Anna Pridmore, PhD, PE, DBIA Raylen Jones and DeShawn Keller for showing us around!
