2024 marks 51st annual Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) Awards, this year held at the Opera House in Manchester. Mappin & Webb. have been partners with The PFA since 2020 as official trophy and awards manufacturer. All trophies are created at our Silver Workshop just outside of London. We produce over 150 awards each season, including Fans' Player of the Month and Young Player of the Year. The PFA Awards are unique in that you are voted for by your fellow players who you will face throughout the football season so it’s a huge accolade for players to be recognised by their peers. Since undertaking the honour we have redesigned all of the PFA Awards, modernising their designs including the prestigious Players' Player trophy, whilst remaining true to the iconic silhouette.   The Mappin & Webb silver workshop have spent over 300 hours producing all of the trophies for the awards night. With one in three young people saying more self-confidence would help them to achieve their dreams (in work or education), we ran a 'Time to Inspire' event with our partners, The Prince's Trust, to educate, inspire and build confidence in young people to help them achieve their hopes for the future.    The Watches of Switzerland Group Foundation consists of a board of trustees who are passionate about turbocharging our impact. In our 12th year of partnership with The Prince’s Trust, BAFTA-nominated actor John Hannah, radio presenter Johnathan Joseph (otherwise known as DJ Spoony), sports, brands and diversity expert Terence Parris as well as our CEO, Brian Duffy, have been sharing their advice to become successful in the world of film, music, sport and business. The trustees were also joined by friend of the Foundation Thomas Hitzlsperger, who played for Aston Villa, West Ham United and Everton during this career.   The event was all about reaching young people who are out of education, employment, or training, inspiring them and connecting them with relevant talks, networking and confidence-building workshops.
