Continually inspired by the dedication of Marco Island Fire Rescue Department's dive-rescue swimmers! Their annual swim tests at the Y in Marco is a testament to their commitment in ensuring our community's safety. Proud to play a role in supporting these brave hearts! #CommunitySupport

Big thanks to Josh Starrett and the Emergency Management Division of Collier County for donating two OptiClean Negative Air Machine and Air Scrubber portable units for each campus. These units will act as air "scrubbers," cleaning the air by removing contaminants and then releasing clean air back into the room.

Happy Father’s Day to all the amazing dads and father figures at our YMCA! Thank you for your dedication in keeping families and our community healthy and strong. Fun fact: Father’s Day began at the Y over 114 years ago when a young woman, raised by her single dad, initiated a celebration of fatherhood. The first #FathersDay event took place at the Spokane YMCA on June 19, 1910. 🌟👨👧👦🎉

🎓🎉👏 Congratulations to our North Campus children who graduated yesterday and are heading to kindergarten in the fall! We are incredibly proud of each of you and can't wait to witness the wonderful things you'll accomplish. A huge thank you goes out to our dedicated teachers and staff for their hard work in preparing our little ones for Kindergarten. Special appreciation to Fernandez the Bull restaurant for catering both our preschool graduations; your generosity is truly appreciated! #youthdevelopment #ymca #kindergartenready

May is National Water Safety Month, and the YMCA of Collier County is sharing tips all month long on how we can all stay safe in and around the water. Tip # 6: Don’t jump in the water to save a friend who is struggling in deep water. If a child finds their friend in deep water unexpectedly, their natural reaction may be to jump in the water to try and save them. Even if a child is a great swimmer, a panicked person will overpower them, pulling the rescuer under water. The Y’s Safety Around Water program teaches the “reach, throw, don’t go” concept of using a long object to reach for them, and pull them to safety. By using this technique, children can help their friend without compromising their own safety.#WaterSafetyMonth
