The HR Generalist will be responsible for managing a variety of functions including employee relations, performance management, training and development, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Responsibilities
- Offer guidance and support to employees on an ongoing basis
- Oversee the performance appraisal and feedback process, assisting managers and employees in setting and achieving their goals
- Address employee relations issues, such as complaints, disciplinary actions, and terminations, in a professional and timely manner
- Administer and maintain employee records, payroll, benefits, and leave programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations
- Develop and deliver training and development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge
- Provide advice and counsel to managers and employees on HR policies and procedures, ensuring their consistent and fair application
- Stay updated on HR trends and best practices, recommending changes or improvements as necessary
- Participate in HR projects and initiatives, collaborating with other departments and external partners
- Safeguard all confidential information obtained on the job by properly using it, filing it, disposing of it, and discussing it only with those who have a legitimate business need to know.
- Experience with ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now
- Knowledge of ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode, Ceridian, HRMS, About Time
- Familiarity with Benefit Functions and Compensation Administration
- Understanding of Compliance and Employee Relations.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an HR Generalist in a CPA or similar firm.
- Proficient in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now.
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience in ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode.
- Experience with Ceridian, HRMS, and About Time software.
- Familiarity with Benefit Functions and Compensation Administration.
- Strong understanding and experience in Compliance and Employee Relations.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to adhere to deadlines.
- Proven track record of maintaining professionalism and integrity in all interactions.
- Experience in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification is a plus.
