NICU Hospitalists
Job Duties: Provide clinical care and services for hospitalized newborns in the neonatal intensive care unit. Diagnose and treat patients. Ensure quality, cost effective care for hospitalized patients. Maintain strong rapport with hospital, primary care physicians, specialists and ancillary providers in order to affect quality care. Study diagnostic images to aid in making diagnoses. Prescribe medications and recommend dietary and activity programs, as indicated. Refer patients to specialists as indicated. Various administrative duties.

Education Required: M.D or D.O
Other Requirements:
- License to practice medicine in Louisiana
- Completion of pediatrics residency
