It's sad to know how intelligent pigs are, how they are VERY similar to dogs, but yet people still see them as a farm animal that should endure pain, suffering and death. People can't imagine that happening to a dog, but are totally fine with that happening to pigs. Why? Because society brainwashed us from the beginning to think of pigs as "dirty farm animals," not as intelligent, loving and beautiful individuals, like dogs are seen in this world.
When will people start to realize that there truly isn't a difference between both. Yes, some countries eat dogs (awful), but our country eats pigs (awful as well). Is there truly a difference between the both? Studies have shown there really isn't.
When will we start realizing all the marketing dollars that businesses had to brainwash society so that sales could increase, even if it meant that your health would be compromised. All they care about is your $$, not your health.
"Dairy is good for the bones and everyone needs to drink it or you won't develop well." - Hmm..I'm a good example of feeling great and not needing to consume a drop of dairy.
"Eating meat and consuming dairy is good for your body. You need it to have the proper nutrients and to be healthy." - But yet when people are very sick, the doctors recommend a plant-based diet for them to consume to help their bodies and to try to fight off the sickness.
A lot to think about.

Pigs match human toddlers in intelligence. This fact can make the scale of their profound suffering in factory farms easier to comprehend.
For #WorldAnimalDay, can you share a moment when an animal's emotion, empathy or intelligence moved you?
Let's recognise their thoughts and feelings to inspire a kinder world.
