The Missouri cannabis industry came out in full force Tuesday in Kansas City for the Q2 MoCannTrade (Missouri Cannabis Trade Association) member meetup. This was the first member meetup that CK Supply has attended and definitely won't be the last. The turnout was amazing with over 800 people that registered. We appreciate all of those that stopped by our booth to discuss how CK Supply can help the growth and success of the Missouri cannabis industry. Every booth that I stopped by, everyone was friendly and was more than willing to talk about their process , what products they make, what services they offer, or to have a conversation about their passion for this industry. We are looking forward to the Q3 meetup in St. Louis at Top Golf, September 17th and hope that it will be even more successful. One day after the meetup, the Missouri Division of Cannabis Regulation posted the results of the random lottery drawing to award microbusiness licenses. This is the second of three rounds of licenses to be awarded. More than 2,000 applied back in April and those applicants selected in the lottery are now being reviewed for eligibility. 57 microbusiness licenses will be issued, nine of those are from the first round of licensing due to license revocations for rule violations. We are committed to continue in this effort! Our partnership philosophy remains constant. What time of day are dispensaries the busiest on 4/20? Last year, sales volume peaked between: → 3pm and 6pm. But this year, 4/20 is on a Saturday, so the game plan is different. Here’s what to expect: 1. Higher traffic earlier and later in the day. Many customers will grab their product before they head out to their daily events. Others will stop in later in the evening to keep the party going. 2. Spikes between 3pm-5pm. Customers will still look to visit dispensaries close to the 4:20 countdown. 3. More traffic throughout the day than ever. The combination of record cannabis access and a Saturday holiday set the stage for the highest cannabis sales day in history. _____ Takeaway: Dispensaries should expand store hours and staff accordingly to keep lines short and capitalize on this year’s 420. #cannabis #fourtwenty

'Buy before you try' isn't often heard in business transactions, but in the legal #cannabis industry, this is standard operation. The BC Liquor Distribution Branch is reviewing the current ban on product sampling between licensees. Do you think retailers and other licensees should be able to sample cannabis products?
