FOOD & SOCIAL JUSTICE
T/TH 3:00-4:15 PM
Instructor: Dinah George
This course uses a two-fold experiential learning approach to examine areas of food systems and justice within literature, essays, and film. Students will receive an overview of fields found in larger areas of food sovereignty and environmental justice through speaker visits, workgroups, and site visits to potential partners in the food studies concentration. The goal of this course is to provide a space for students to think critically on the function of food systems and better understand the implications of justice in these systems.
