The “fun” in runway fashion is looong gone 🌸🐉 What do you see when you think of early 2000s Dior, Moschino and Fendi? Crazy layers? Sexiness? Y2K aesthetic? It’s what I imagine as the most fun era of runway fashion One of my fav collections ever is: Dior Ready-To-Wear, Spring 2005 Colour clashes, bold accessories, punk-inspired but with clear influence from vibrant Japanese street style & Fruits magazine 🤩 What’s so great about it - is the almost DIY look, Like you could recreate something similar from thrifted pieces & some fabric markers And that’s why it’s so fun Aspirational style but not unattainable INspirational (Besides the severely unattainable model look from the 2000s) Does anyone else have a favourite era of fashion? Maybe 80s punk, Y2K, or 70s Studio 54 vibes? 👇 It was fun (how many times can I say fun in one post?) to illustrate this iconic look from my fav Dior collection Adorned with some cool dragons inspired by my Vietnam trip Nothing I love more than portrait drawing & playing with colour clashes to experiment! PS I still actually love a lot of runway fashion every year, but a gal can’t help but reminisce on old times 😝 #illustration #fashion #adobe

The CHANEL Fall-Winter 2024/25 Ready-to-Wear show took place at the Grand Palais Éphémère in Paris, in a seaside setting reminiscent of Deauville, which inspired Gabrielle Chanel the invention of an allure. Shrouded in mystery, the models seem to be walking along the mythical boardwalk of the French coastal town. Chunky sailor sweaters and knits featuring the landscapes of Deauville alternate with silk blouses with middy collars, herringbone prints, low-cut tops with flounces, jumpsuits and negligees whose delicacy evokes gentle waves breaking and a soft wind blowing. Cinematic, the collection imagined by Virginie Viard takes its vibrant or pastel shades from the ever-changing colours of the Deauville sky, along with brown and gold lamé. A nod to the relationship between CHANEL, the coastal town and the 7th art, cinematic references punctuate the silhouettes. See more at chanel.com/-LD-RTW_FW24-25

The making of Christian Dior Couture garments involves processes that blends traditional craftsmanship with modern innovation. From designing concepts, pattern making, fabric cuttings, assembly to fitting, adjustments, finishing touches & presentation. The whole process ensures each garments is a high-quality masterpiece. Dior's leather goods collections are made in Europe. Their shoes and ready-to-wear collections are manufactured in France and in Italy. Much of the world has slowed down but Christian Dior Couture haute couture production has continued in the homes of its talented seamstresses. While millions embrace teleworking, the artisan gowns have been skillfully created through the concept of ‘telecouture’. Made entirely by hand, the dressmakers traditionally spend hundreds of hours crafting the exclusive garments at the Dior workshop in Paris but have made the move to ply their passion for métier in their own homes. #dior #fashion #luxurybrands #educationalcontent #luxe #fashionmaking #fashionbrands #students #mastersstudents #internationalbrands #luxurylifestyle #diorbeauty #dior #paris #france #educationalcontent

New Post: Met Gala 2024 live: Celebrities, red carpet and fashion highlights - https://lnkd.in/gGkNpHT3 Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion is the theme of the Met Museum Costume Institute exhibition, but the dress code for tonight’s gala takes inspiration from the J. G. Ballard short story “The Garden of Time,” which is about the decay of a garden - a metaphor for societal collapse. Expect attendees to go the literal route, with plenty of florals from the likes of Dolce & Gabbana and Jonathan Anderson who, as the head designer of gala sponsor Loewe, has several of his Spring/Summer 2023 looks with grass growing out of them in the exhibition. Alexander McQueen is sure to be in abundance, with his undertones of death and decomposition. Sleeping Beauties is laid out in three sections: land, sea and sky, so we’re likely to see a lot of natural textures, such as Yiqing Yin’s Fall 2013 coral dress or the entirety of Mugler’s Fall 1997 couture collection. I also fully expect someone (cough Lady Gaga cough) to show up in Viktor & Rolf’s Fall 2005 bed dress.Morph.toInit.bundles.push(function() { Morph.versions={"bbc-morph-app-bridge":"2.2.0","bbc-morph-classnames":"1.0.2","bbc-morph-cookie-config":"3.0.1","bbc-morph-cs-enriched-post":"1.3.13","bbc-morph-feature-toggle-manager":"1.0.3","bbc-morph-gel-icons":"5.1.0","bbc-morph-gnl-smp-adverts":"1.1.0","bbc-morph-gnl-smp-analytics":"1.1.0","bbc-morph-grandstand":"5.7.0","bbc-morph-image-chef-url-transformer":"2.1.0","bbc-morph-isequal":"1.0.0","bbc-morph-lazysizes":"1.0.1","bbc-morph-lx-adverts":"1.0.8","bbc-morph-lx-commentary-data-paged":"1.5.6","bbc-morph-lx-istats":"1.1.4","bbc-morph-lx-reactions":"3.0.3","bbc-morph-moment-ws-timezone-wrapper":"1.0.7","bbc-morph-news-translations":"2.2.4","bbc-morph-responsive-image-srcset":"3.0.1","bbc-morph-share-tools":"5.1.4","bbc-morph-smp":"9.1.1","bbc-morph-ws-typography-info":"1.0.8","morph-container":"4.0.0","morph-require":"3.0.17","react":"0.14.7","react-dom":"0.14.7"}; !function(e){function t(r){if(n)return n.exports;var o=n={i:r,l:!1,exports:{}};return e.call(o.exports,o,o.exports,t),o.l=!0,o.exports}var n={};t.m=e,t.c=n,t.d=function(e,n,r){t.o(e,n)

The fall couture shows in Paris were held earlier than the usual July dates to avoid clashing with preparations for the Olympic Games, but the season still offered some Parisian high jewelry houses a chance to shine brightly. In Paris, the 67-piece Hermès collection, Les Formes de la Couleur (the Shapes of Color), was the largest the house had produced — and arguably its most playful. A freestyle brushstroke, for example, was rendered as a mono-earring called Fresh Paint, with green tsavorite garnets simulating pigment. And while the house has nearly 75,000 shades in its silk color library, the collection was the first time it had used so many primary colors and rainbow palettes for jewelry. “It took us a long time to do a lot of diamonds and colored gemstones,” said Pierre Hardy, the creative director of Hermès jewelry since 2001 and of high jewelry since its introduction in 2010. “With leather, silk and makeup, one sees how color informs the world of Hermès, but for jewelry we’d never experimented with that kind of mix before.” The designer described his creative process as “liberating color from minerality, cuts and facets to let it be more supple, almost liquid or diffuse, like makeup on the body.” Read More: https://lnkd.in/gmj7c7fD Photo Credit: Hermès #GemologicalScienceInternational #GSICertified #GSI #GSICertification #Gemstone #Jewelry #Gemstones #DesignerJewelry #GemLab #GemstoneTesting #Gemology #GemstoneGrading #Gemologist #Diamonds #ColoredGemstones #PreciousStones #FashionJewelry #ParisCoutureWeek

Haute Couture Meets Haute Horlogerie: A Fashionable Affair The latest haute horlogerie offerings from luxury maison Dior draw on its haute couture legacy, with feathers, flowers, the baroque architecture of the Paris Opera House, sumptuous fabrics, and feathered petticoats, all dancing their way on to colourful dials that are adorned with scintillating diamonds. But it’s no wonder that numerous fashion houses are drawn into the realm of wristwatches, ensuring that they don’t miss out on the success enjoyed by mechanical timepieces. Given that watch prices and profits surpass those of shirts, shoes, or pants. Fashion is a dynamic and multifaceted concept, encompassing clothing, style, culture, creativity, and industry. It reflects individual and societal values, is a platform for artistic expression, and represents an ever-evolving aspect of our daily lives. #hautecouture #hautehorlogerie #dior Christian Dior Couture Dubai Watch Week Wristwatch & Co.® 🏆🇲🇿
