Just like #Nvidia we should be asking ourselves: Are we solving problems that truly matter or are we getting stuck in a race for market share? Our best #people deserve to work on groundbreaking #challenges not rehashing old ideas. Let's focus on choosing the right work and walking away from the wrong work. The four pillars of company culture, according to Cameron Herold. 1. Alignment with the Vivid Vision (A vivid vision is a 4-5 page document and more in-depth than your typical vision statement) 2. Alignment with Core Values (These are the guiding principles that you should hire on) 3. Alignment with the BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goal) (for example, Space X's would be to colonize Mars) 4. Obsession with the Core Purpose (The brickmaker story best portrays purpose; one brickmaker is just making bricks, the next is making bricks for a wall, and the third is making the bricks that will make a magnification cathedral.) Does your company have these four pillars? Do you have one of them?
