➡ The National Association of Enrolled Agents is the ONLY professional organization that will fight for YOUR right to be an Enrolled Agent, representing taxpayers before the IRS. Who else is doing that on a national level? 🤔 ➡ As an Enrolled Agent I've had the opportunity to be in a focus group to give feedback to the IRS because I'm a member of NAEA. NAEA is also providing me with the opportunity to gain insights from policymakers, IRS experts in DC. If you're a member the same opportunity is available to you. Not only that I'm going to meet with members of Congress as well. This allows me to make a TRUE impact. Because I'm advocating for my clients with the IRS directly and also with the people who create the tax laws and policies. 🤔 Who else is doing that? ➡ Without NAEA this individual would not have had access to me, to reach out for help on a case. You get out of an organization what you put in. After making my decision to renew I've become more involved and I have not regretted my decision. I've met some amazing people in this organization, and to be fair I've met some not-so-amazing people too 😬 but that's anywhere. I can dwell on the not-so-amazing people and not move forward. OR I can connect with the other amazing folks and have a wonderful time. The choice was mine, and if you're on the fence ultimately the choice is yours. Can you believe it is now four months on MTD? I am posting tonight as I continue to be extremely proud of what my team continue to deliver. This was a busy week that included extremely positive ministerial meetings, vital time with key stakeholders and partners and time with HMRCs Board who are providing valuable support. This week included strong success from our teams driving our technical deliveries (they are complex and vast). It included yet more progress towards a successful private beta for 24/25. This is a HMRC wide effort so thanks not only to my direct team but all HMRC colleagues who are critical in creating success for MTD. Critically this week also included publishing amended regulations and notices. This takes a huge amount of effort. I am so grateful to my team for their work on this key area. In there I hope key stakeholders and partners see yet more evidence of my team listening such as quarterly updates will now be 7th (not 5th) of each month. This means the deadlines will be more aligned for VAT and ITSA. Hopefully stakeholders (you know who you are) recognise this sensible change as it comes from working together and my team listening to your feedback and acting (where possible). We will continue to engage and listen as a way of operating. Where we can’t make changes that stakeholders think would be sensible we will also work tirelessly to explain why. I want to drive up transparency and ongoing engagement. I recognise we have a long way to go but we have a plan. We are making small steady improvements and we want to deliver MTD in partnership with key players and stakeholders. I hope you see that progress. I welcome any help and support key stakeholders and partners will give over coming months. So to finish up, thanks again to my team for a great few weeks. We will have good and bad weeks ahead (this is a huge transformation) but I know I’ve got the best team on this. That is one thing I am sure of. Have a great and well deserved weekend team!

Just one man's opinion, but our CPAs in this country are under pressure. under pressure to work more, under pressure to produce more, under pressure to get CPA services right to help protect the public and help deter business/bank failures. in physics, too much pressure can cause a break. the CPA profession cannot break. and we need to find ways to help relieve the pressure. More CPA's is one of the solutions, and reducing a barrier into the profession (down 30 credit hours between 150 to 120) is 1 of the many levers we need to pull on this solution. There are many ways we need to attack the CPA pipeline issues. There isnt a guaranteed ROI on the extra 30 credits worth of money. "There's always a better way".
