Who has your back? Are you signing contracts, providing pricing and making financial decisions without any guidance? 🥺 Your CFO team exists to help you with your financial strategy and decision-making. And you won’t believe this but…..⤵️ 📝 When reviewing contracts, I find inaccurate dates, dollars and even omissions of important things like….”How do we get out of this if it’s not working?”. 💰 When building pricing analysis, we include all the goods to make sure you’re profitable. Profitability is like a recipe, you must include all the ingredients, even the dashes of salt 🧂 👥 When hiring a team, we help determine compensation and incentive plans so you have clarity, accountability and performance metrics from day one. Looking for support like this? DM me for info about how we can support you. Cheers, Your Soulful CFO ✨

Financial controller for midsize companies | Enabling you to work ON your business & not get stuck IN it. Owners at Driscoll's Lock & Key, a 50+ year old locksmith company.
To be an effective outsourced CFO I find you also need to be a CMO, CTO, COO etc.., il explain. I find the 1st outsourced position companies hire is CFO. The owner has had it trying to figure out the finances & knows in their gut if they do this it will pay off big time, both in terms of profit & quality of life. As CFO you go through the company data, from that data you extrapolate different ideas / actions the company could / should take to grow. Who’s going to implement all this insight the CFO has discovered in the data, the regular employees either have their hands full or aren’t capable, the owner is busy selling, has no patience to put detailed plans into action. If the company also had other executive positions filled then the CFO would have whom to pass the data onto, but they don’t. Here’s where I switch hats for a bit & try to work with the company to implement the actionable data iv come up with & help create growth.

Good advice below for those looking to make their first move out of audit 🍋🍋
If I had a dollar for every time an auditor told me they want to go straight into FP&A, I'd be a rich man 💰. The majority of auditors will say their first choice is to get straight into FP&A or financial analysis. While it's definitely not impossible, getting straight into FP&A can be difficult for professional services first movers. Particularly for those coming from overseas, given the huge demand internally in Australia, taking a chance on a candidate with no prior experience and who likely needs sponsorship is a tough sell for any hiring manager. My advice to auditors making the move would be to not limit yourself by only looking at FP&A roles. It is much easier to get into FP&A laterally once you are in a business and have some exposure to financial control. While it may not sound as exciting as FP&A, a financial accounting role is usually to perfect next step for auditors making their first move into industry. There are also financial accounting roles (usually within smaller businesses) which give you some FP&A exposure, such as budgeting & forecasting. If you are an auditor looking for your first move out of practice, feel free to reach out for a chat. Lemon Talent 🍋🍋
