Welcome Home, Morrow Development Centre! While constructing the Morrow Cell Factory, we established a Customer Qualification Line (CQL) in South Korea to develop and produce LFP samples. This week, the CQL shipment from Chungju-si arrived in Arendal. What to know about the production line which will now be installed as the "Morrow Development Centre" (MDC) inside the factory: 🔋The CQL operated for 16 months, enabling advanced product development, customer sample qualification, and training for engineers and operators. 🔋Morrow shipped thousands of LFP samples to potential customers, achieving significant performance improvements. 🔋About 20 colleagues will work at the MDC, focusing on process and product optimisation, next-generation battery development, and qualifying cells to customer specifications for commercial production. "The MDC is the cornerstone of our innovation, bridging research, manufacturing, and development. Its arrival in Arendal marks a pivotal moment in our journey towards commercialising and industrialising our technologies", says Marcus Våle, one of the R&D Managers responsible for the MDC. "After years of anticipation, seeing these containers touch Norwegian soil is pretty awesome. This line, which we've started planning in 2021, represents not just equipment but the culmination of our hard work and vision." A special congrats to everyone who's been hands-on every step of the way... You are many, but trust that Ronny Gløckner, José Pedro Mota and Marcus Våle will pass on our "thank you"🙏👏 #mission2morrow #betterbatteries #Rearchanddevelopment #batteries
