Wow, what a Pride Month we had at Riveron! From the races to the finish lines to the laughter echoing through our wine bar gatherings, one thing was crystal clear: this was not just another corporate event. The strength of the community was present. We ran, we snacked on rainbow-colored treats, we toasted with pride-themed cocktails, and we celebrated each other. But you know what mattered the most? It was seeing our team members completely at ease, being their authentic selves. This reflects inclusion. It's not about ticking boxes or making grand statements. It's about creating a space where we can work hard and then enjoy each other’s company, without anyone feeling they need to hide a part of who they are. At Riveron, we aim to embrace diversity in everything we do, and yes, we celebrate it. Because when people feel truly accepted, they bring their best selves to work, driving innovation and creating a vibrant, successful culture. Here's to a Pride Month that showed us once again: at Riveron, you can bring your whole self to work. We wouldn't have it any other way. Special thanks to everyone who played a part in making each event successful, including all of our hosts: Mallori Grambeau, Matthew Novak, Erin Jackson, CPA, Marcus Tolson, CPA, Rob Butler, Stephanie Van Winkle, Alex Hilsabeck, Matt Wray, Will Lanehart, and La'Toya McWaters, SHRM-CP, CDP Stay connected to see all of the action on Life at Riveron here: https://bit.ly/4cpfOp9 #PrideMonth #RiveronPride #RiverOut #Riveron #DEI

Advisor, Adjunct Professor, Speaker, Author, Coach: Ethical Leadership and Culture | Risk Management | ESG | Multi-Generational Teamwork | Burnout and Resilience
Congratulations to Jeremy Dean and his colleagues at riders&elephants for another impactful year of enhancing emotional self-awareness and the understanding of “emotional culture” in organizations around the world with R&E’s Emotional Culture Deck and other resources! As Jeremy says, “A high-performing culture exists not in the absence of emotions, but in the mastery of emotions.” Without an understanding of how emotions impact decisions and behaviors, we can’t be fully effective in driving positive change—as individuals, teams, or organizations. Earlier this year, I joined my colleague, Maren Gube, PhD, as a certified Elephant Rider Practitioner; and I’m proud to be part of this engaging community and trained in facilitation techniques that inspire candor, connection, and growth. Maren and I help individuals and teams enhance their emotional literacy and their connections by incorporating R&E’s tools and techniques into our workshops, covering a range of topics touched by emotional culture—including building resilience and thriving, burnout and stress management, ethical leadership, creating speaking-up cultures, leading effective teams, multigenerational collaboration, and others. If you’re interested in learning more about our work, please check out our Resiliti website (https://www.resiliti.com). You can learn more about R&E’s work and offerings in their comprehensive 2023 retrospective, below, and on their website (https://lnkd.in/eHFY6fsF). #EmotionalCulture #Emotions #PsychologicalSafety #EffectiveTeams #Collaboration #WellbeingAtWork #EmotionalLiteracy #CultureChange #EthicalLeadership #Inclusion #Belonging #Thriving #Resilience #Burnout #Innovation #Integrity

Life becomes so much more interesting and valuable with support from the next generation ;-)
As we are building Promon for the next fantastic growth journey - we are also a building a business family. Exactly that feeling hit me with our last week of Promon Fest, but what confirmed it was when I got the FIRST drawing from Folker den Braber ´s daughter Mathilda that captured both the family feeling, but also our multinational team and the smiles on our faces. THANK YOU Mathilda for making my day and reminding me while we build what is most important ❤️

We invest in extraordinary families, funds, and founders. Logistics venture capital, creating connective tissue between legacy industry families, funds and founders building the future.
The family office and the trucking company are independent. Trimac makes operational trucking decisions, and the family office makes all investment decisions. This is because we invest at pre-seed, seed, and A, and typically, corporates roll out at series C and later. The investments are only made for financial return; investment evaluation has no strategic component. Basic Clay Christiansen Innovators Dilemma.

Thank you InterGen for yet another enriching Wine Wednesday session where Jeffrey McCaig and Trevor Adey shared their inspiring journeys and insights into their work. Here are some highlights that resonated with me: 1. Jeff's remarkable family history and his relentless pursuit of knowledge, embracing new avenues along his educational journey. 2. The McCaig family's profound involvement in sports at various levels, advocating for equitable pathways for children to pursue their passions. 3. Exploring how Trimac and the transportation industry adapt to change and stay proactive rather than lagging behind. 4. Commendable investments by Trimac Transportation as LP in innovative ventures, broadening their access to knowledge and innovation. 5. Fascinating discussions on the future of the transportation industry, particularly regarding AI integration and advancements in vehicle technology. Excited for the 2024 Wine Wednesday sessions, anticipating diverse guest speakers, and reconnecting with our incredible community friends. Looking forward to more engaging conversations and insights ahead! 🍷✨ #Calgary #Alberta #Transportation #Innovation

I hope you all had a lucky St. Patrick’s Day this past weekend wearing your green! 🍀 A lesson in luck from Mort….the pot belly pig. I got this grand idea that Mort was going to help me with a St. Patrick’s Day celebration picture, but EJ (husband, realist, joy-sucker and photographer) did not think Mort would cooperate. And dang it, I hate when he is correct! I put the St. Patty bling on him and he instantly activated “rodeo pig”. You might ask, “what is a rodeo pig?”. Well, it is when the pig runs around as fast as they can while snorting and bucking—it is a sight for sure! So, you might be wondering how I ended up getting this adorable picture? EJ, trying not to bask in the fact that he was right, suggested a treat. In keeping with the St. Patrick’s day theme, he even suggested a green treat of a pear. I noticed that Mort has the same reaction as we do in the workplace when the right incentive is in place. Want a motivated team—find what motivates them. As soon as I had that treat, Mort did an immediate sit, and opened wide for the treat. When we want more from our teams, or even a different output we need to think about if the right incentive is in place. If we are wanting creativity or ideas on a better process, why not have a contest? Everyone comes to the table with their new idea and whoever wins gets the “treat” plus bragging rights! Check back next week for our March blog that talks more about human behavior, and as always, peoplezest is here to help find the perfect candidate to bring your team the luck of the (pig). https://lnkd.in/ezsq4aVb PS…the pigs are really EJ’s pets—yes all THREE! #peoplezest #multifamily #executiverecruiter #studenthousing #leadership #motivationtools #motivation
