This might be one of my favorite pieces of content on Scrum. The question of rigidity is something I've come across repeatedly. If you look on the surface, and only see the events and artifacts, I can certainly understand why people think that; however, if you live in a Scrum world for only a short while...one where Scrum is done well...you can truly see the wonders. If you understand the 3 Pillars of Transparency, Inspection, and Adaption, and see how they apply to the events and artifacts. If you see teams that are truly self-organizing and believe in the core values. When you see servant leadership that guides, nurtures, coaches, and breaks down impediments, empowering teams to be awesome.
Then you can see the power of Scrum and why it works so well.
