Visit us on November 27-28 at the Aachen Acoustics Colloquium in Aachen, Germany. 🚗 https://sie.ag/3Anvw2Y Modal analysis is an established technology in vehicle development. With this technique, intricate structural dynamics phenomena can be expressed using structural invariants, such as the modal parameters: natural frequencies, damping ratios, and mode shapes. Yet, due to the complexity of the dataset, interpreting these diagrams is challenging, and often requires a high level of domain knowledge. Markus Brandstetter will present the paper: ‘An Industrial Validation of Automated Modal Analysis using Machine Learning.’ He’ll explain how to deploy an automated modal analysis (AMA) algorithm that uses a Machine Learning (ML) clustering technique and domain knowledge of modal parameter selection. As a result, engineers can automate modal analysis and accurately process complex datasets without user-dependent interaction and with repeatability. Want to know how? ➡️ Visit us at booth 15 ➡️ Join the paper presentation on November 28, at 2:15 PM #Simcenter #Acoustics #ArtificialIntelligence

Dive into the world of aerodynamics with 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐳𝐨 𝐃’𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐨's groundbreaking thesis: "𝘖𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘪𝘻𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘈𝘦𝘳𝘰𝘥𝘺𝘯𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘤𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘢 𝘙𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘊𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘢 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘊𝘍𝘋 𝘈𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘺𝘴𝘪𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘔𝘦𝘴𝘩 𝘔𝘰𝘳𝘱𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨," another example of our strong link to research and academia. The thesis was carried out as part of a collaboration between University of Rome Tor Vergata, ENGYS, Volvo Group and RBF Morph. Lorenzo's work delves deep into Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis, utilizing multiple solvers to dissect the intricacies of aerodynamics. Starting with a simplified car model (ASMO), he delves into optimization techniques before transitioning to a real industrial case study: 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐲𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐚. But that's not all! Lorenzo's thesis isn't just about crunching numbers. He also tackles 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐠𝐞𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐟 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐒𝐔𝐕 𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐥 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐚𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐲𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲. Join us in celebrating Lorenzo's dedication to pushing the boundaries of aerodynamic engineering! According to the Oxford English Dictionary, Acoustics is the branch of physics concerned with the properties of sound, and aeroacoustics is a subcategory. However, while aeroacoustics definitely falls under that umbrella, it also encompasses aerodynamics, which contributes to the conditions that cause the sound; and therefore, it gets a little complicated.
