Mental health and emotional wellness can be frustratingly complex. The good news? Dr. Mark Lerner says, “Research consistently shows the efficacy of nutritional counseling, botanical medicine, and lifestyle modifications in reducing anxiety and depression. Studies highlight bidirectional communication between the gut microbiome and brain, often called the gut-brain axis. This relationship suggests that imbalances in gastrointestinal health can contribute to emotional disturbances and vice versa. Personalized dietary interventions, probiotics, and GI–healthy herbs may improve emotional well-being.” 🌱 Read more from ‘Emotional Wellness and Naturopathic Care’ by guest author Mark Lerner, Ph.D., at https://lnkd.in/ecHKJNP6. #EmotionalWellness #MentalHealth #HolisticHealth #NaturopathicMedicine #GutBrainAxis #GutHealth #AnxietyRelief #DepressionSupport #NutritionalCounseling #BotanicalMedicine #LifestyleModifications #MindBodyConnection #GastrointestinalHealth #WellnessJourney #HolisticHealing #Probiotics

📣In an era where millions of US children (and adults) are being diagnosed with ADHD, and stimulating medication is prescribed in an exorbitant fashion; gut-brain connection might be the target. 💡Our intestines are equipped with an extensive neurological network (enteric nervous system), which is why it’s often referred to as our “second brain”, and these two are in constant communication. 🚨Focusing on gut health is indeed fundamental for any mental and emotional dysfunction. 💫As naturopathic doctors, we are very well trained in the gut-brain connection and how to effectively help repair this “two way road” path. ✅If you or any of your loved ones or friends are suffering from mental and/or emotional disorders, consulting a naturopathic doctor could be a life changing decision. 🙌🏻 . . #mentalhealth #naturopathicmedicine #gutbrainconnection #gutmicrobiome #guthealthmatters #naturopathicdoctor
