Marketing Storyteller – I weave 26 ALPHABETS and some DIGITS to BUILD your business with you | Co-Author of Lagos Chronicles | Creating Madness with Uvest
Today is the start of the first work week in June. I remember when Adenike Adesanmi told me we should be accountable to each other in May, I never thought it would work out, but that's the power of partnership. So, what do we have for today? 🤔 Don't worry, I won't threaten you. I'm just livid that the strike didn't affect me cos I love my bed too much! I want to talk about my portfolio — https://lnkd.in/euzVVTC9 Not like I want to talk about it, but just to tell you that I procrastinated since January and finally launched it in May. One thing I realized is that nobody will tell you to do it until you see that you've got no other options other than doing it. Procrastination is a bad habit. But anyway, we still get the work done. In simple subtle words, you need a portfolio if you are 'creative'. A portfolio is proof of your work, which consists of your skills, experience, and samples. Take time to check my portfolio. It's not perfect and it's still a work in progress. If you need help creating a portfolio or CV, let's talk.

If you're feeling like you're still struggling to get into the swing of things at work this week (and can't wait until 5pm), here are 5 ways to instantly feel more fulfilled this afternoon... 1✨ Celebrate something you've achieved or learnt since you returned to work this year (it doesn't have to be big!) 2✨ Ask a colleague to share their top tips for mastering key skills that will help you progress in your role 3✨ Offer to help a junior colleague with their development - this could be in relation to specific technical skills, career progression or just having a catch up! 4✨ Ask to get involved with your office volunteer group and brainstorm ways that you can meaningfully contribute 5✨ Map out a pecha kucha style presentation to colleagues on an area that you're passionate about. Don't forget to book a time in the diary to present! So take 10 mins out, grab a hot drink and give one (or more) of these ideas a go and you'll instantly get your sense of fulfilment, motivation and inspiration back on track! #personalgrowth #successtips #loveyourjob
