Maryland High School Basketball - Mount St. Joseph overwhelms McDonogh
January 3, 2010: Owings Mills, MD 21117 Fans at Sunday's league challenge between the Mount St. Joseph Gaels (Baltimore, MD) and the host McDonogh Eagles (Owings Mills, MD), saw Mount St. Joseph's basketball squad trounce McDonogh by a score of 69-34.
With the victory, Mount St. Joseph improves its record to 13-2 on the campaign. The Gaels host St. Frances Academy (Baltimore, MD) to battle the Panthers in a MIAA A challenge on Tuesday, January 5. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 8-5. St. Frances Academy lost 69-48 in their recent non-league challenge against St. Benedict's Prep (Newark, NJ)
Next up, the Eagles battle the Cardinal Gibbons Crusaders (Baltimore, MD) in a MIAA A challenge, on Tuesday, January 5. McDonogh will attempt to improve on its 2-2 season record. The Crusaders come into the challenge with a 5-5 record after their 65-57 non-league win over Digital Harbor (Baltimore, MD).
