Kentucky High School Basketball - Graves County holds off Mayfield
January 4, 2013: Mayfield, KY 42066 Graves County Eagles (Mayfield, KY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the host Mayfield Cardinals (Mayfield, KY), 40-37 in a league bout.
With the win, Graves County upgrades its record to 12-4 on the season. The Eagles host South Fulton (South Fulton, TN) to play the Red Devils in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 5. The Red Devils go into the bout with a record of 10-5. South Fulton won 58-43 in their recent league bout against Greenfield (Greenfield, TN)
Next up, the Cardinals play the Ballard Memorial Bombers (Barlow, KY) in a District 3 game, on Tuesday, January 8. Mayfield will attempt to move on its 6-9 season record. The Bombers enter the game with a 3-11 record after their 72-49 league loss to St. Mary (Paducah, KY).
