Kentucky High School Basketball - Mason County can't hold off Bourbon County
January 7, 2021: Paris, KY 40361 The Mason County Royals basketball team (Maysville, KY), was nudged 85-83 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Bourbon County Colonels (Paris, KY)
The Colonels now possess a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rowan County for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 9. Bourbon County will battle a Vikings team coming off a 69-47 non-league win over Martin County (Inez, KY). The Vikings record now stands at 1-0.
The Royals (1-1) will now prepare for their battle against Walton-Verona (Walton, KY). The Bearcats come into the non-league battle with a 1-0 record. In their last battle, Walton-Verona edged Williamstown (Williamstown, KY), 68-44, in a league battle.
