The Grant County Braves basketball team scored 45 points and held the host Simon Kenton Pioneers to 42 in the Braves league triumph on Saturday.

The Braves now sport a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Williamstown for a District 32 contest on Tuesday, January 10. Grant County will play a Demons squad coming off a 59-28 non-league loss to Carroll County (Carrollton, KY). The Demons record now stands at 0-8.

Next up, the Pioneers play the Conner Cougars (Hebron, KY) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 9. Simon Kenton will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 8-5 record after their 63-49 non-league win over Rockcastle County (Mt. Vernon, KY).
