West Virginia High School Basketball - University fells Wheeling Park

January 11, 2022: Morgantown, WV 26508

University Hawks (Morgantown, WV) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Wheeling Park Patriots (Wheeling, WV), 72-54 in a league bout.

With the win, University upgrades its record to 4-4 on the season. The Hawks travel to Morgantown (Morgantown, WV) to play the Mohigans in a Two Rivers bout on Friday, January 14. The Mohigans go into the bout with a record of 5-3.

Next up, the Patriots play the East Liverpool Potters (East Liverpool, OH) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 15. Wheeling Park will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Potters go into the bout with a 11-2 record after their 64-40 non-league win over Steubenville (Steubenville, OH).
